    We don't care what happens on WoW's forums.  Honestly.  And we just had another thread about this same bloody thing, we get it.  The forums have jerks and idiots.

    But no offense to anyone, but there are jerks and idiots here, too.  And considering this is a place of anonymity, I would doubt the sincerity of any RL death claim on a GAMING forum.

    I like the concept of a game having no "official" forums.  It forces users to petition GMs with suggestions and bug/balance/exploit concerns.  It also stops people from "acting out" and basically just being jerk.  Also, it will allow fansites to compete for real postings.



    Have you ever really read a successful WoW forum?  Not really.  If you read the www.thottbot.com posts that occur under items/quests/npcs you will see some real "quality" posts.

    Thanks for posting this.  Nice to know that European WoW players can be just as dickish as American ones.  But honestly, you can trash talk all you want about WoW players, but these types of people are in every game, just as there are genuinely decent people in every game.  The obnoxious jerks in WoW are just more visible cause there's so many more players.  They'll be in WAR too.  I don't really care what these morons do on the forums, in fact I wish WAR had official forums, cause that would mean asses like these are spending less time in-game.

    People just need to learn to stop posting anything of a personal nature in mmo forums.  I never minded it when people posted stuff like this, but people need to realize that no matter how horrific or tragic an event is, someone's gonna make fun of them.

    Player 1: "Some drunk mail truck driver ran into my car, killed my kid and now I'm paralyzed from the waist down"

    Player 2: "Sweet, can I have your boots since you won't need them anymore?  And you can still screw can't you?  Just make an alt for your kid."

    What I just said right there, has probably been a real forum thread somewhere.

    Yup, learned that lesson back in EQ.

    I imagine they'll have some unofficial forums on the VN boards, just like they do in DAoC. So the forum warrior retards will still have a place to do their thing. And if not? Just more people for me to kill in game. Win/Win from where I stand.

    thats a great point, Probably why i have stuck with EQ2 for so long, I have never really read thier forums. I did this with WoW and Vanguard and just could not stand thier fanbases.

    WoW was too "omg lern2play" kiddie bullcrap, while Vanguard was too "when you die in game someone should chop off one of your fingers in real life" over the top hardcore wannabees.
