With a heavy heart I must now admit something that few people know.
While it is easy on the internet to take on a moniker, an alias if you will, and use it as a shield to be able to say what you really feel. A facade to hide behind and say the things you really want without retribution. These facades don't last forever. Certain details leak fourth, creative hackers trace IP addresses, board information gets cross-referenced. A secret identity can't last forever. Even the identity of such characters as Deep Throat eventually get found out... Spiderman too.
Sure, some people have suspected my true identity. A couple people actually came close, but thought it was a funny joke. I've had the freedom to say what I really wanted to all this time without getting in trouble over it. Unfortunately it is over.
The legal department at $OE (feels funny to say it that way) found me logging onto this site from my office and realized I wasn't lurking, I was posting. Needless to say, they drafted my "resignation" letter and I was able to post this before I had to pack up my desk.

Yes, it was tough to tote the company line day in and day out. I even started to get hypertension and ulcers over the stress of toting the company line. They switch the CU at the last minute... and I gotta say everything is great. They roll out that mess of the nge, and I have to fart zippidy-doo-dah out of my asshole. Imagine the pressure? I felt like I was betraying everyone.
I couldn't take it anymore, so I bought some guy's account off of E-Bay who was a real pain in the ass on the boards, and started posting under his name. I was free to be just a regular player who could be as disgruntled as I really felt. Sure, at first it was about little bugs (Why can't I stay in my chair?) but then it was about the rushed-out CU. That abortion they called the NGE? The further mess they actually pawn off as a game? They're trying to let you make a blue rancor for fuck sakes... but I digress.
Problem was, I was way too disgruntled. People started to enjoy my sarcastic posts. I started to leak information that I heard in the breakroom. I'd even argue with myself on the forums just to make it more convincing. Even permabanned my alter ego from the boards to throw off any suspicions.
But they still tried to find me out. Eventually they did. Now the ride is over.
So as I sign off, I'd like to say... May the Force be with you, because the farce has always been with $OE.

*Games on our site will be treated just as we treat people. Unsubstantiated comments about specific or general games will be penalized in nearly the same way attacks against people will. The exception is that you can say mean things about games provided you back it up with reasons.
Example: "Game X sucks." is not a legitimate comment. "Game X sucks, because..." is acceptable.

And why would they let you post a good bye post? If I could post on the official forums (perma bann), I would of asked where you were going etc.. but no one seemed to ask...
Even if this is a joke, it's still funny as hell lol... I know I would of done the same thing as you had I been in that position but I would not of posted from a work terminal with all the spy software companies have these days..
