This game is amazing

This game is simply incredible.  Playing a guardian, the tank class, has been more rewarding at any point than playing a protection specced warrior to lvl 40 in WoW (instancing alot) was.  It is simply remarkable how the game manages to make every part of it rewarding, both in terms of enjoyment and in terms of strengthening your character.  If you use an attack, you become better at that attack.  If you survive five levels without being defeated, you get a new thing to attach to your name.  The variation and potential is incredible, and everything is streamlined to be satisfying and not frustrating.  I simply can't recommend this game enough.  For those of you wondering what makes it better than Wow, it is advancement.  Leveling, questing, and specializing your character is simply tremendously more intuitive and clever, and much more original; I have never played an MMO like this, despite SWG, WOW, DAoC, DDO and being somewhat familiar with EQ.

Yea, I agree the guardian class is the funest to play.  They are pretty much unbeatable and the game is awesome

In the past I played Hunter and found them to be great but a little weak at the time - then I switched to Champs and had a great time playing Champ although they can't heal I'd usually destroy any enemy before I had to worry about needing HP.  When Open beta began, I decided to make my first Guardian because there were just too many Captain's which was actually waht I wanted to play but I'm glad I went with Guaridan.  I got to level 15 yesterday around 3pm and am wearing heavy armor for the first time - loving the class but I'm not doing quests with the character until I get XP for it again so for now, he'll lay low.  Onto rebuilding my hunter Murtagh.  Cheers to Turbine

Why do I write, create, fantasize, dream and daydream about other worlds? Because I hate what humanity does with this one.

BOYCOTTING EA / ORIGIN going forward.

I thought in beta there were to many minstrels which is what I wanted to play. So, I made a Captain and absolutely loved it.

I made a Captain friday and now it like you said, Captains everywehre. I made a Captain anyways and it is still fun.

I just want to add to what the OP has said. The community so far has been fantastic. That may change when open beta starts this week for everyone else. During beta and this head start the community has been great. Lets hope it stays that way.

So far I've only played as a Champion, but there is no way I'm going to play a champion when the beta ends. There is far too many champions in the world, I want to be unique and not just like everyone else. Feels like playing rogue in WoW, impossible to find grp and the most overpopulated class. I went for Dr00d instead... worthless class...

This game is better than I expected. Nothing much new to the table but neither was WOW, it just does what it does very well just like WOW.

It is also a lot bigger than I expected, with all the talk about how small it is.

Monster play is a game within a game and a lot of fun, big time underated.

Yup, this one is a keeper. The feeling of being immersed  in Middle Earth is amazing.

    Well done indeed.
