1.Will ranged classes dominate PVP like other mmo's, I don't care if they do, but if a warrior is able to close the gap and get close to them they better be able to decimate them with ease. Close range-melee class should always win against mages, rangers, ect. Long range-archers,mages should win. PVP should be more like this.

2.Has their been anything said about how big battles can be?

3.Are you able to block attacks, like raise your shield to block or is it automatic.

4.Also will their be collision detection, I hate fighting pvp where i can run right through the person.

5.Will you be able to bunny hop in combat? It just makes you look like a idiot when you do that.

there better be a way to directionally and functionally use your shield if not, then it sucks!

1.) So long as they can keep their distance, yeah they probably will heavily dominate. Bear in mind though, that not all mages are set up to be casters. The Lich and Herald of Xotli are expected to be very formidable opponents in melee combat.

2.) We have seen battles of about 50-60ish characters so far, and the way they are describing the use of battle formations, it sounds like it can get much bigger than that.

3.) It is partially automatic. Partly because of lag, the other part being that even without lag projectiles will be moving too fast for most people's reflexes to catch up. You do however have a number of stances available. Let us say that you are a Guardian (close to a traditional sword and board character). If a flight of arrows is your main concern, you can crouch in a stance that brings your shield up to defend yourself automatically, blocking most of the shots. Such a stance would have negative impacts elsewhere, mainly your ability to attack anyone, but probably also your movement speed.

4.) Yes, there is collision detection. Yes, that also means a formation can physically protect soft targets at its core. Yes, that also means that a cavalry formation that charges at an infantry one is bound to trample the crap out of them unless they have pikes or other polearms.

5.) No,  you can jump, but you cannot jump over and over like a crazed hare. There is a short bit of recovery time after each jump.

No man is an island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main. any man's death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind, and therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee.
