Well, for CoH, at 50 you unlock 2 new archtypes that have their own storylines and quirks. Enjoy the quests you hadn't done. Try new character concepts. PvP with anyone who may be PvPing.
There really is no endgame. You play it for the journey just like any other game.
There really is no big end game in CoV. There adding hami for villains in I9 and I think there adding villain epics in I10. Also, you can always run LRSF and just pvp.
1- Badges & accolades. Earning badges for the fun of earning them. Accolades grant a direct bonus and each one is similar to a long quest in old EQ to give you a feeling...
2- Strike Force/Task Forces. They are the endgame grouping, the last one (LRSF) give better reward then normal enhancement. CoH doesn't has the last one with the juicy reward yet, but will at I9.
3- Raiding, bring the same reward as the best Strike Force/Task Force.
4- Epic AT, after accomplishing max level as a hero, you open 2 new ATs. Villains will get one, probably at I10...what will be required from the villains is yet to be revealed, but they want to ask a challenge rather than level 50.
A lack of endgame is better then a wrong endgame...as you can create yourself what is your version of it based on the tools you have. I think CoV is doing the best among all MMOs, it isn't even remotedly close to perfection, but it is vastly ahead of any competitor.

It's the only superhero mmo out atm so I hope it leads competition. I thoght by now you would have rival supergrps and villian grps battling in the streets, and attacking each others bases.I have seen none of that yet.But with the extremely slow lvling system by the time you hit 50 it will be game season again. If pveing to do more pve is your thing, and you have a degree in special needs learning, and can type fast since less than 10% use voice. Then this game might be for you.Personally I need my RvR/PvP and am about to re-open my daoc acct.
