Without more Servers, the system is going to come to a grinding halt.
And the Beta Testers know that is an accurate description of what happens when the Servers are overloaded.

They said so in yesterdays Devchat.

Sweet.
Probably learned from Blizzard's mistake on that one.
Always nice to run into a company that does some research and learns from others.
So far, the whole LOTRO experience seems to have been that way.
They also joked that if they needed more than they have available, they'd take the dump trucks full of money and get more.
Don't worry, it is still BETA.
I had a little lag when I first zoned into Archet, but nothing like when I did during beta stress tests.
I expect Turbine to push the limit on number of people per server during this week. Next week, I expect them to
open a lot more servers. However it is still beta, and they want to see what the limits are.
We are playing for free right now. When we get to retail, they will make sure it is smooth as silk.
Yup. I get it.
I think you are correct in your assesment of Launch day too.
I keep forgeting that THIS is NOT the actual Launch; it is still beta.
Imagine that. Another company doing real testing. And it looks like it will be successful, just like that *other* company that did a lot of testing on their game. And *not* like the latest other set of games released by companies that did NOT do adequate testing. And have flopped, or are in the process of flopping, because of it.

I'm not worried. First, because of the waiting servers. Second, because stress test went amazingly well. Third, because the preorder open beta had 3 or 4 servers (of the 7) queuing, including mine, and there were no problems that I saw or heard of. Those servers are stable at full load with a lot of concentration.
Good Job!
