I have a quick question on ram memory, what is best? 1gig of DDR2 PC2-4200 or 1.5 gig of DDR PC-3200? Thanks
Well you should go for the most memory. I would say 1,5 gig, if you are going for three 512 sticks. You can't have a 1 gig sick and a 512 stick together, it will only let the 1 gig stick work.
What motherboard are you putting this in? Most mobo's support DDR or DDR2. There are some which will support both but not simultaneously. If your motherboard supports DDR2, get that because you can always add another gig later of DDR2. Going the other way, you'll be stuck on DDR memory.

Is it one stick of ddr2?
2x512 ddr2 would by all probability be faster then a 1.5 gig setup regardless of how you set it up, unless you had 6 sticks of 256. ( unlikely )
Unless you have pairs you will not get dual channel cutting the bus speed by half, in the pc 3200 case, from 800 Mhz to 400.
2x512 ddr2 would give you a bus speed of 1066 ( the pc 4200 has a single bus speed of 533 )
Wereas the ddr setup would give you a bus speed of 400. ( no dual channel )
If it is one stick of 1Gb ddr2 versus 1.5 Gb divided among various capsules id go for the 1.5 gig setup, but only just.

DDR and DDR2 are two completely different slots. A DDR wont fit in a DDR2 slot. So figure out which one your motherboard uses (try CPU-Z) and then decide. If you know your mobo model or CPU model then we can prolly figure this out.
