What do you think will happen to our characters?

in Guild Wars
Do you think the devs will be nice and keep our characters locked in a little chest and give them back after launch, or will they be swept away like dust bunnies and join the circuits in the sky?

    Uh its a demo, they dont even keep bata characters nevermind a demo.  Wave G'bye...

    Nice try.  Unfortunatly, it was just a demo.  And like a demo, there are no characters moved to the full version. image  So, all we can do is sit back and wait for beta and for it to go gold.

    I wouldn't want to keep mine anyways. I want to start with a clean slate to build up my character into what I want it to be, mind you, with in what GW allows me to do.

    "Characters will be deleted simple because they are level 15 and it wouldn't be fair to the rest of the people that didn't play on E3 demo" (newbsimage ) . Items will change too so there is no reazon to keep them.

    I was asking about it an developer while playing the E3 demo and he gave me this answer so... for now thats all...

    LOL us Alpha testers can't even keep our toons so nope, zip, ziltch, zero amigo's. When game goes live it's a full scratch from the start for everyone. Matter of fact when we are done testing the area you folks demo'd ( new ebonics word image ) we will get wiped for the next stage of testing. That whole area is a lvl 15 area so you basically didn't see 1/2 the game. We have been testing those 4 mission maps for a few months now and mission 5 was recently added as well as the stone summit and jungle preview's.

    Not sure what's next but we have been able to see many of the areas you played as barren and text coded and now to what you all have seen. It is pretty amazing to say the least especially for such a fine graphically looking game.

    there gone and there will be more player wipes before the game is released, hoping they might do as some others are now,at about 2 to 4 weeks before release wiping avatars and then we could keep what we lvled up in the open beta, earth and beyond and lineage 2 did it and a few others did also. its a way to thank those who help make the game as bug and xploit free as they can.
