Probably won't happen but go sign the petition to let ArenaNet know there game is the best image and to try to get the servers back up for us to test/play the game. image

The servers can handle it we all saw that. Start open beta with the demo version only. image

I think this would slow down the development process.  It all went smooth - but I am sure the whole team was working their butt off to try and make sure it went that way.  Now it is time for them to get back to work image

I already made this post :D under the thread Petition. But anyhow, how is it pathetic? Its an early alpha demo, and it would be by choice to pay to play it. Even if it's still $5, i would definately do it.

It's not asking for much. Just to put the servers back up and even just let them leave be. Let us play to our hearts content. No updates needed, as it seemed to run fine for 90% of the people i heard from playing it. (there were an unfortunate few who got errors and such). I think the good it will do will outwiegh any bad that could come from it. Think about it. It's never been done with an MMO. Think of the press. Thats lots of free advertising :)

I'll copy and paste what I said about this petition on another site:

Man you must really need your "fix", not unlike a crack addict. Don't get me wrong, its great and I too wish I could still play it. I can even understand being willing to pay for it (though certainly not retail price). But asking to pay a subscription fee for a freakin alpha demo? Jeebus man! Slap yourself and come back to reality.

As for me, having played it first hand, I am now confident about how good and successful it will be, and I've accepted that I probably won't get to play again until release, or possiby open beta.

No way I would sign a petition to make the game a monthly pay game. The only reason I am getting this title is because it has no monthly fee. Second if you want to come up with an idea to get the alpha demo back why not ask them to put it back up and only let people that preoder and prepay for there release... This way the game would stay free and it would up there end sales.

If you think the game would come out free after a pay to play beta your nuts.

Scroll down a bit. Gaile states the demo will not be released again. So you can let this thread die now.

You know what I think will work! We all agree to pay them $50! Then they'll put the servers back up so everyone can play again!

Actually, I liked one idea alot. About whoever pre-orderes gets access to the demo that way we wouldnt be buying anything. It would just be a "bonus" for pre-ordering the game. That woulld rule.

The server, not servers, is the same server that we Alpha Test the game on. So to open the server back up would basically allow everyone in on the alpha test. That is 100,000+ people in an alpha test. Tad to many?

Think of the press and free advertising? What do you think the E3 Demo was in the first place? It did exactly what they (Arena/NCSoft) wanted it to. It got you and just about everyone else to have an intrest in their game.

I also like the Pre-Ordering idea , some 1 should tell the ppl at ArenaNet  that it would make for a good marketing and early financial tool if they did that. I plan on pre-ordering the game anyway image

Ok, duly noted. :) I just don't see how it could happen, but it's a very nice suggestion, that those who preorder get such a benefit.

It would be fun to have all of you guys and the 200,000 others who participated in the event in the game world with us now. The E3 for Everyone demo was very cool, and very fun for those involved in every aspect of development. But at this time, we're nose to grindstone creating content, writing storylines, designing levels, conceiving creatures, expanding professions, programming, animating, creating art assets for everything in the game, and then polishing everything to a golden gleam.

We'll have more Guild Wars news for you soon!
