    This site was hit with that virus, i used firefox and avoided the whole thing

    Ok, can someone that has been to this site write a brief summary as to what this is all about?  Personally have only witnesed a couple of actual farmers on Uldum.  I'm sure they exist but apparently not on when I'm playing...

    It seems there is a vulnerability / exploit a web site can use that alows hackers to gain control over your computer. It uses a type file that has to do with the cursor (animation) some how. Need a techi to explaine it more. But it hits Vista and older microsoft os's ..

    Just happened to me. I read about what was happening on Monday, I stopped using IE, Downloaded Foxfire. I changed my scanned my system with ad-aware, spybot and norton. Changed my Pwd. Last night I was playing and today when I logged on, everything in bank and inv was gone. I had my equipment, thank goodness, but the epic items I had in the bank, regents I had saved for enchantments, all my gold everything was gone on all my characters.



    Created petition, gave GM the times I was on last night.



    I then Downloaded McAfee...and I found the trojan!



    well, I'm just glad I've got a guild that can help me back onto my feet.



    Next time I surf, I'm using an E-condom!

    Run firefox with the noscript add on.  Problem solved. 

    Problem with virus software, sometimes it can take them weeks to identify all the bogus stuff out there.

    Firefox solves all problems :P



    In all honesty though Firefox does prevent or help prevent a lot of these kind of problems from occuring.
