in Everquest II

Everquest2.com has stated that sign ups are no closed. People still have the oppertunity to update thier systems stats and if you were in the middle of an app you can complete it now.

Beta Applications are now ClosedWe are no longer accepting applications for the EverQuest II Beta.
If your computer system specifications, the computer you plan to use if accepted into the beta, has changed. Please Update your system specification.
If you already started an application but have not yet completed it, you can still complete your application.
If you applied but have not yet received your application confirmation, please request that we resend your confirmation code. Please be sure to provide a valid email address.

    so sign ups were only up for about 3 weeks.. and they got 12k+ applications.. damn! o_o;

    12k applicants?  Thats nothing, WoW got 500k applicants.

    whoops.. sorry, I was misinformed.. theres no actual number of applications that were set in for EQII beta. Apparently, a guy said there should be around 12k on May 5th due to how many people there are on the forums.. and Moorgard (EQII community leader.. or w/e the hell he claims he is) replied with "Nope, it doesn't work that way. I get reports every 30 minutes about how many people have registered for the beta. Trust me, it's way, WAY more than that. image"

    and are you sure it was 500k for WoW...? thats very unrealistic.... did you mean 50k?

    Hmm where did you see actual numbers posted for WoW applications? I have only seen speculations and I know Blizzard has not released the numbers. You can see EQ2's by members subscribed to thier forum (must subscribe to apply).

    the number is apparently much higher than that..

    hmm why won't they release the number for WoW? they wont release anything. Number of players in server.. how many got beta.. ect. i hope EQ2 isnt like that i want them to be less secretive but it's unlikely

    SOE will be more secretive... They are forcing players to sign a NDA unlike WoW. Main reason is EQ2 is the biggest MMORPG this year, many MMORPGs will be looking to it, especially Sigil's (them being ex-SOE and all...).

    You mean right were its says "World Up"?, from what I have seen from just opening it 5seconds ago it is still removed... take a look before you say something that you apperantly know nothing about image

    I saw those same numbers in my local Orange County Register (newspaper), which also happens to be where blizzard is located.
