In this forum you WILL find threads discussing positive aspects about the game. If you don't like reading such things and want to flame people for having such opinions, please, go to the Veterans forum and post till you can't type anymore.

That's like saying only "whites" can post. You can't take one side of the story this is why I have always hated your representation of the SWG community. You sit there and sugar coat every problem with gum drops and bubble gum in candyland. My theory that you have and still work for SOE is still hanging in the air of high possibilities and posts like this don't help your cause or position in this matter.
Don't even try this obraik...been done a million times.The SWG forum will be what it allways was : grumpy old men saying a lot but not wanting to hear what the other side has to say.That goes both for the lovers and the haters.And even if you are not a lover or hater you will be called one of both.
The pro-SWG peops call you a hater if you make a small remark bout a flaw in the game...the haters will call you a swg-fanboy if you even say one good thing about SWG in it's current state.I gave up this fight a few weeks back realising whatever you said got twisted and turned.This is the only forum in my opinion where you can not get a reall idea of what the game is with all the bs from both sides.
No, I'm not saying you have to be positive (besides, I'm not a mod), but don't act surprised when you see people posting positive stuff in this forum. I'm getting tired of seeing the latest trend of people coming over to this forum and flaming people simply because someone had a positive opinion of the game or the poster is completely new to SWG and gets flamed because they say they like the game. It's ugly.
Translation for those who aren't getting it:
In addition to all the negative posts, this forum is likely to also contain positive comments as well. Please allow others to post how they feel about the game, positive or negative, without flaming them for their opinions. If you cannot accept that others might actually like the game as is, you should probably try posting in the Veterans forum because there is more discussion there about how the game was.

Just out of curiosity....
If you have an active account why then are you posting on an unofficial SWG forum?
If you want like minded individuals to discuss the "current" gameplay then why not take that discussion to where you'll find those like minded individuals who are playing the "current" game?

Oh believe me I already have.. You say its about discussing positive aspects of the current game state, well it's not all positive, that's where the negative part comes in.. NO mmorpg out there are 100% positive, that's what I meant. So there should be room for people to discuss the negative sides aswell and what they could do to improve those.

Talk about what's going on with the game NOW not back then. Say the NGE sucks but dont go on a rant and compare it to the PAST.
Again, freedom of speech, people can say whatever they want to say. If you dont like people keep saying the game sucks and was alot better pre-CU, then you dont respect their point of view, why should they respect yours then? If it's such a big problem for you, ignore it? or even use the well known command block on those who keep saying it, you could start with me
I understand your point of view, and respect it, seeing as it can become a pain in the A** when people are saying the same thing over and over, but this is a forum, you can't ask people to stop sharing their opinion, unless you're willing to yourself. Anyhow no matter what Im not gonna stop sharing my opinion for sure

I understand what Obraik is saying, and he MAY have a point. However my question is still valid. Why post here about the current gameplay when you have an official forum with like minded people? Is is an honest question that should not be confussing to you.
Wait a sec....
First, what constitues a vet? Secondly, why is it assumed that vets are considered only pro pre-CU, surely there are a few vets who do enjoy the NGE.
Lastly, why are people expected to not discuss their dissatisfaction about the direction of the CURRENT game.
Vet:
A place for disgruntled former and current SWG players to talk about the game that was and the game that now is, as well as for newcomers who are curious about the issues surrounding the changes that this game has undergone. *Note, MMORPG.com RoC will still be enforced.
Current:
A place to talk about the game as it is today, for gamers who currently play or are interested in trying it out. *Note: RoC will be STRICTLY enforced. Absolutely no trolling, flaming or the like will be tolerated.
You can tell that vet is pretty much for all talk Pre-CU and current is for how the game is in current state. I'm not saying all pre-cu talk in current is bad, but to be honest it almost ALWAYS turns into a flame war, hence 2 different forums.
Hasn't anyone learned that saying don't fan the fires, is exactly what gets them fanned.
I think not... be the bigger person and then step away from the fight, and if it bothers you that much nag the mods about it.

Thanks for pointing that out, I never really did read the description of the vet refuge forum.
However, does it not stand to reason that if I were dissatisfied with the current gameplay ( i.e. the direction) then that would be the place to champion for changes? Even if those changes meant another revamp?
Also, hypothetically, if the emu gets up and running in a pre-CU form does that not make it current gameplay to some?

Then no, you didn't read what I posted. I cleared up in a thread that I have no issue with people posting their negative experiences with the game. I DO have issue when said people come here, see someone posting something positive and rip into them for having such an opinion, as if they shouldn't be allowed to say that. Yesterday someone posted that they were enjoying the game and people came over to his thread and pretty much told him he really wasn't having fun because pre-cu was supposebly better. His opinion was then discarded because apparantly he was 15. THAT is what I have issue with. That and people that come here and act all offended that someone dares to post something positive.
That free speech thing goes both ways.

Well if you want to go with that argument, why do we have different food companies? Why do we have different car companies? Why do we have different game companies?Quoting people doesn't make you clever, in fact, it makes you all the more stupid for not bothering to read the quotes you post in the first place.
