mmo of the future

Well me and my friend (Alryth) are discussing if a mmo took features from games such as "Sims" "GTA" "Second life" and put them into one game, if it would be great. In this mmo u could have housing like sims, work to pay bills ect. ect. Killing ppl would like take points of ur reputation and even get u fired from ur job if u are caught. There would be thousands of jobs. Like a paramedic, if someone dies, u have to take them to the hospital to be revived, and u get payed for it."Second Life" comes into the picture as you can also buy businesses and shares to make ur money.The world would be massive bigger than any thing out today. It would pretty much be second life on ecstasy. There would aslo be severs where u can just runn a rampage no work no required, just logg in and kill with ur gang (guild).

             But yea remeber that this is in the future and keep a open mind, btw dont just flame me on my grammer as i no it isnt the best. :p

    Killing people? What the hell is this world coming to thats a bit extreme for a almost rl game. Yea lets make more games so we can practice murder, you know ive seen scientific studies on brainwaves with that kind of stuff it was not good.

    Well there not as bad as grand theft auto. But in the setting of a game he is describing that just sounds way way way worse.

    Well this guy is my friend, and I think the idea is a bad one, I disagree with this idea being popular to the average mmorpg lover.

    wat the hell are u a retart who the hell would want to go online to get a job how exciting i could have a coma and it would be more exciting then that stupid ass idea and wat fag plays the sims like leave the ideas to ppl who have a brain because by the sounds of your future idea i swear uve takin roids and shrunk ur brain along with ur testicles. i could do i shit and it would come up with a better idea then that. and i agree with the other bloke dont u think the world is violent enough without stupid shit like that online that makes killing ppl look like fun great way to bring up a generation of murders and that shit will be on u. mmo of the future thought up by a guy wif no testicles as well as an under developed brian used to do nothing more then sit on ur ass and scratch ur balls ahahah wait sorry urs dissappeared KILL-DONKEYS

    I think its a good idea except the murder part, you could try maybe beating people up bulling etc, and you can get in trouble like there friends come confront you to leave the person alone or the parents or get in trouble by the cops etc.

    well as u guessed no i am not 27 anyone playing these games at that age have no life and are losers but putting the childness behind in all aspects of the op ideas it sends a negative msg to ppl the the society and could cause problems and moral delemers do we really want more violence in the world i think not a a game like that that suggests murder can be fun sends a negative msg so before u jump to conclusions age matters not to how u act most can be mature and also be childish this sets ppl upart from uptight losers.thank you KILL DONKEYS

    Umm... Ok. Look people. Violence in video games, expecially om realistic forms is a way to actually do the things you think about sometimes when some idiot starts ranting on like our donkey friend here. It is a venting outlet that allows you to get your carnel rush of enjoyment and indulge your primal nature without getting arrested, and without injuring or killing actual people.



    The Grand Theft Auto series is a great franchise, and the only reason San Andreas got taken of the shelves and edited is because of a sex scene you couldn't even view on the console versions without going very far out of your way.



    Grow up and stop believing everything you hear on the news. I bet you show up to the hospital every time a strain of anything is identified anywhere as well, or when they discover that decorated plates you don't even use to eat off may contain lead paint.

      OMG I am glad I am part of a grown up community in one of those stupid shit online games where you actually can "work". I Play Entropia Universe and it has many of the elements the OP mentions, also a RCE, so I guess kill-donkeys would'nt fit in there. Well since he seems happy in his own little bubble where he can flame away,  I guess that is ok. As for the killing people aspect in games; WAKE UP! I am actually more worried for the psychic health of ppl ranting like a madman because of another beings opinion than I am of a gamer blasting away some pixels...

    play life makes perfect sense why waste time doing all those things on a game get off ur ass and get back to realtiy because in the long run the came will get u nowhere in life yea u could say fun pass time but waste of time in the bigger picture i dont see why arguing over a stupid idea which i stress is stupid has any really point seiruosly get off the computer and do something meaning full and constructive .thank you

    I agree that it is not healthy to spend "all" your time online or in a fantasyworld if u will, but that is hardly the discussion of this thread! And just because you think it is a stupid idea,  doesn't make it so. I think it is a good idea, It doesn't make it so either. We have different opinions and that is fine, but why the hell do you feel the need to belittle ppl that has ideas, and call them stupid just because they think different from you? And yes, it is in fact time for me to get of the home computer and get out and do something meaningfull on another computer at work.. You see, some of us actually manage to play games AND live a normal life.

    First of all the scientific studies has nothing to do with the news, I know most of the news is nonsense. Second of all increasing violent brainwave activity is far from healthy for anyone and that does not mean it cannot influence anyone to do it rather there crazy or not, there is infinite possibilitys why someone can think its right because they grew up with video games like this. A good example is if you watch your parents do stuff your going to do it because kids are easily influenced by the people they grow up around and thats including what they see on tv movies and from other people.

    When you raise a child you will understand all to well, i agree with you some games help you feel better but is it really good for you? There are plenty of other ways to approach difficulties in life.

    well thank u for a civil respones yes it is true that it is my opinion and thats all it is an opinion nothing to get angry over and i respect over ppls opinions ive have been posting to prove a point which i believe u kinda got but it is not healthy to by on a computer so long like damn go out side and enjoy the world because at the rate which we are destorying it,it may not remain the way it is.
