Some people don't like Factions. I do. 'Sins are very cool and they are also very powerful killers. I'd tell you how powerful, but I don't want them to get nerfed again.
I agree, Assassins are VERY powerful when built correctly. I've seen them do things that just make my jaw drop.
But, I'm one of the Factions detractors. I feel that the game is pretty weak on the PvE side gameplay wise. The story is good, but the quests are super repetitive and a lot of them are just boring. I'd recommend getting Factions as an add-on after you've gotten used to the game.
Factions PVE is short and you level up faster than Nightfall and Prophecies. But for me Factions is the most challenging compare to the other 2 in terms of PVE is concerned
I doubt many here, well, fans of the GW game would say that Factions sucks by any means mate. The Factions classes are quite cool and the game is great. Bottom line is that if you want to play the assassin class, get Factions and have fun!

you dont need to tell me , i know how fast i die in allience battles 1 on 1 with sins
It depend on your choise, but i higly recomend NIGHTFALL because its more recent and has many more stuff to do, buy our play. FACTIONS its also a good choise but it have less options of choise. So its up to you, we have given our opinion now you must chose. Good Luck!!
Each world as a Dark side and a Light side... Each side are in war and only you can decide wow can win... But be carefull, if you chose the wrong one the world will disapear as well as the others... The fate of all is in your hands and together will shall win... The Darknes shall disapear forever!!
Prophecies: 6 professions (known as "core professions", available in all 3 campaigns), close second longest PvE content, relatively slow paced levelling (compared to the latter chapters), you can get many skills through quests, Western European theme.
Factions: 8 classes (2 exclusive: assassin and ritualist), shortest PvE content of all 3 chapters, but offers unique PvP alternatives, fastest levelling of all 3 campaigns, you get a handful of skills at the beginning while rest has to be bought (to compensate, quests and missions offer large chunks of XP, gold and skill points), Asian theme.
Nightfall: 8 professions (2 exclusive: dervish and paragon, though some new skills and items available to assassin and ritualist), probably the longest PvE content (close match with Prophecies), levelling pace somehow in between Prophecies and Factions, same skill aquisition system as Factions, adds most notably Heroes (customizable NPC team members, while other campaign "only" offer static henchmen), African theme.
So for newcomers, starting with either Prophecies or Nightfall is to be preferred. Gets down to taste though.
A small note: referring to either campaign as an "addon" is misleading, they are all stand alone. Only the upcoming Eye of the North can be considered an add-on/expansion.

I tend to agree, Nightfall or Prophecies, whichever you don't already have.
