I want to try the new classes and im just wondering, plus nightfall just looks awesome im really tempted to play it first, I probably will get around to the others.
The order in which you play the chapters doesn't really matter at all. Each chapter has its own, independant storyline. While there are connections between them you won't really be left in the dark if you start with Nightfall. However I'd say that the learning curve for Nightfall is steeper than Prophecies since the majority of the content is made for more experienced players. You should be prepared to reach level 20 pretty quickly in NF while Prophecies will give you a lot more time for this so maybe the diffculty of NF might feel a bit harder to you. Still the tutorial should prepare you well for the game although it's not as cool as the one in Prophecies.
Also Nightfall has slightly prettier graphics and while it's not just as lengthy as the first game I found the missions to be even more entertaining and the storyline as a whole to be more convincing than Prophecies.
While some may disagree I don't believe that Factions would be as good to start with (mainly due to the shorter story campaign) as Prophecies and Nightfall so your choice should be between the two.
hard to say.there are diff skill in all 3 if you plan to pvp but prophecy is a very good start cause you can still own in heroes ascent with just a prophecy build and with the update they did it looks awsome too woot
Well to be honest the main thing is I like the way the ranger holds the bow better in nightfall.

You will enjoy the storyline more in Propechies, The Pvp with alliance battles more in Factions. I enjoy the skills better available in Prophecies especially for farming. Nightfall presents neat weapons and inscriptions and some decent skills with classes to combine with original classes. I would suggest following the storyline though from the start in my opinion.
I thought you can get all the skills no matter which one you play on by buying them.

I believe the only upgrades you can purchase are, extra character slots, and nightfall 1mill edition (extra items) and for the skills, yea you can purchase them but they are only related to PvP only, not PvE - this is how i interpret the GW online store shop.
No im not talking about rl money lopl, I meant with gold you can cross the map to factions and nightfall and purchase the skills, according to in game people this is what I was told.

yea if you own all 3 games you can freely travel between them and "cap" the elites and purchase skills for 1k plus 1 skill point in game from skill traders. The more into the game the better skills the skill guys offer.

It doesnt cost any in game money to travel between the continents you just have to do a one-time only mission to get thru. But like i said if you want to travel to factions and you own nightfall you have to own factions too and have the game unlocked to you original account.
Right I have all 3, no idea what might have given that impression hmmmm. So you have to play all 3 to unlock the skills? I thought you could buy them if need be. Thanks for all the help.

Factions Has:
6 Original Profession Classes + 2 New Ones [Ritualist & Assassin]
