Now I myself will be playing AoC on my 360 as its probably better than my computer, but one must ask if the PC version of the game and the Xbox 360 will be the same in terms of graphics? Also a good question is what will you play on? I know that the 360 version comes out after the PC version so I myself will have to be paticent as well. Lastly will PC players and 360 players be on the same servers?

my question is... it'll be a bitch talking to random people on the mic only to find out they're on pc.... it'll be better if it was seperate so that all xbox live people we know will have mics
After hearing that you could use a gamepad, I did actually go out and buy one though.
Hope I didn't waste my money
i got 2gbs and 7900gs and core duo, but im worried that might struggle...
we'll see>>>
but for format 360 would be fine with me also.
I took the plunge with a major upgrade recently so I'm lucky enough to have a pretty swanky DX10 pc...
Core2 Quad CPU
4 Gb RAM
2 x 768mb GeForce 8800 GTX (SLI)
All the same I will probably play AoC on my 360.
The reason? Pretty simple really. Given how much time MMO's take I would much rather spend it on my couch with a large screen tv than sat on my pc. Saying that, if I go with Warhammer Online I will have no qualms about playing that on the pc.
So I don't really know for sure which way I'd go right now. The pc will be better graphics with DX10 as it's got some good specs, but the comfort and ease of playing on my 360 might just sway it.

You can walk the walk but can you talk the talk?
from what i know, dx10 will only be on vista
I have same reasons why im going to play on my pc.
1. It has DX1O version, and i wanna try it out.
2, you can always upgrade you comp so it will runn smoother
3. I played FFXI on my ps2 and it was pain playing on my couch.
4.MODS!- theres proably going to be many player created mods for gameplay, and personal visual mods

Final Fantasy 7
Unfortunately, mods will not be possible. Gameplay mods do not in any way shape or form work in an MMORPG environment, it becomes way too easy for people to warp game elements to their own ends. There are only a few cases where it was made to work, and every last one of them did not rely on a preset form of questing/storyline arcs, or balanced classes for that matter.
"Whoops, what do ya know, Nero666 did the playermade version of X dungeon, now hes max level with every single piece of max level gear for his class, plus a few modded armor pieces that make him functionally invincible." "...Didn't he buy the game yesterday?"
Custom UI skins for the client are however still possible

I've never really liked consoles myself, but it will be interesting to see how the two communities mix.
As for buying a gamepad to play, time will have to be the judge of that. It will be interesting to see what drawbacks/advantages the two controller methods have in comparison to each other and if it will be a major gameplay advantage to own either a joypad or a keyboard/mouse.
