It says that you have to put your login information in and a character to monitor.
I'm not too keen on putting my login info into a 3rd party program.
Does anyone else use this?
Is this safe to use?

I have used the program personally for nearly a year. Several of my RL friends use it as well, in addition to a very large portion of the player base. Heck, even CCP employees use it (confirmed from interviews). The program is open source and has been checked out several times. The community that develops it as well as the fan site that hosts them is well respected and have been around for a while. In all this time, there has never been a report of account theft in connection with EVEMon.
I can think of no reason not to try out EVEMon, though if you are still uneasy with giving it your account details (they are only forwarded directly to the EVE Character site, not through another server), which is understandable for some people, you can manually fetch your character sheet data.
Go to My Character on the EVE-O main site, and click the "XML Data" link on one of your character's page and save it on your computer. Then use the "Import XML" option in EVEMon and you are ready to go. The down side of this is that you will have to update EVEMon with your character data manually every time a skill finishes to keep it up to date.
Cheers!
Even the EVE devs use it.
