Not all the classeS? not all the spells? no immersivness? turbine should not be allowed to do any big liscence games ever.
Perhaps you should familiarise yourself with the D&D DM Guide book. Specifically page 14 and the section entitled, Changing the rules.

NWN2 does not have all the classes and spells either, I don't remember seeing a psionicist, artificer or the level 1 spell, feather fall for instance.

Wizards of the coast seem to be more than happy with DDO, as am I and a lot of other people!

Oh and Turbine have been given another licence, it's called LOTRO, you may see some posts and information regarding this game on the boards here...............

hence when I said " turbine should not be allowed to do any big liscence games ever" I meant the lotr liscence. And changing rules by removing soo many spells and abilities? How does that make the game feel complete? Whether you like it or not, nwn2 has more of everything than ddo.

I actually happen to like both games, though I was disappointed with NWN2 ultimately. A lot of people like both games...

I want to see proof that a equal number of people like both games. Last, I check, the boards I went to recently with DDO went silent while NWN2 is still going strong. (Still in the top 10) Do yourself and stop putting information out of your butt.

Cheers! 2 things Captain, first you need to improve your reading skills, where have I mentioned the word equal in my post, please, point it out to me, secondly, you must learn how to put together a coherent sentence. Read your reply to me above from the word 'Last' as it really does not make sense.

You don't seem to believe that people can happily play both DDO and NWN2 at the same time??? Unfortunately for me, it turned out that I didn't enjoy NWN2 as much as I did NWN.

You must also realise by now Captain, that no-one listens to someone who played a trial to level 4 last year.................

(Oh but you did realise, that's why you changed your name...........)

    1) ROFL! This has nothing to do with reading skills, you caught got caught with your pants down. Plus, you quoted, "A lot of people like both games..." You have absolutely nothing to back that statement.

    2) You're a minority of people who hate NWN or NWN2. Feel free to hate, but the fact they are still at top 10 even after 6 months shows that they are lot more people who like it than hate it. Unlike you, I'm not going to troll your post for hating NWN 2.

    3) No one listens to me? Who the hell comes here anymore to read any post? This board has been dead and you guys lurk around this forum trolling every negative post. You guys have been moderate at every turn in past too. (More times then I have)

    4) Captain who? Are you still obsessed with CaptainRPG because he burned you? As far as you see it every negative poster is CaptainKO. I pity you seeing as you still haven't gotten over him.

Ok, you've convinced me, I really think you are crazy, like, mental crazy. Why do you come to the DDO boards? You have only played on a trial, months ago but for some reason you are obsessed with DDO. I come to these boards because I play the game...........why do you come?

i kinda feel bad for all those companies who spend ALOT of time and money on a game only to see it fail or not do well at all.
You are perfectly entitled to not like the game, there are some I don't like........however to deem it a failure is incorrect. It's still running, people are joining the game all the time and it is expanding and for me, getting a whole lot better!

In the dross of mediocrity that is now out there, it stands out even more as a game that is different!

This is absolute proof of your misinterpretation, Lastera (or should I say lies?) The man clearly made a statement : he didn't enjoy NWN2 as much as he did NWN, the original. By the concrete rules of logic there is not one way to arrive at the conclusion that he hates either of the games. Let me further prove my point, by turning it in mathematics.

1-hate, 10-love. He never associated a value to either nwn or nwn2, all he said is nwn>nwn2, and that someone might give both DDO and NWN2 a 8-10 at the same time.

From these logical premisses you drew the conclusion that nwn/nwn2=1-3.

All of this bullshit you just spoke proves one of two things : you find reasoning and linear logic more than challenging, or you intentionally twist words, otherwise known as lying, to further your holy crusade.

Before I rest my case, I must point out you lied on several occasions, and dodged questions you did not know th factual answer to. You are misinformed at best, liar at worst.

Stop the lies, stop twisting words, and sit down, take a long breath, and analyze your behaviour. I hope life works out for you in the end, I keep my fingers crossed for all of the emotionally troubled, call me noble in that aspect.

You have no other purpose in life, but to trolls those who come to this board giving their opinions about the game. You can call me a troll if you like, but compare to you guys, I rarely come to boards to say much if anything. You guys are here 24/7 ready to jump on any poster with a negative comment. If a person say this game sucks, several of you guys will appear and post praises thinking the praise will drown out that one negative post or change the minds of whatever else in the community thanks of the game.

You guys know this game isn't good, which is why you don't post topics often in the General forums. I mean at least the LotRO fan can go into the general forums and post LotRO topics about their game without ridicule.

Hate to burst your teeny bubble mate, but about the only thing you're doing here is trolling and shooting yourself in the foot.

I'm on my second day in the 10-day trial on the european servers and so far I have had lag for up to 7 or 8 minutes at a time on two separate occasions and one server restart so far.

Both thumbs down to D&D Online.

And it doesn't feel much like I'm playing in the D&D universe, this game is more like Dungeon Keeper IV but instead of you sending adventurers to their makers you are the adventurers. *giggles*

I have a name change for the game and here it is *giggles* ~DUNGEON RUNNERS~ - The conquest for the uber loot (tm) "immersion is not included and sold seperately"

I have to agree the game does have general lag issues with the server, but dun think I've ever had anything worse than the occasional stutter. I have nice internet. ^_^

And I don't think the servers ever dropped on me, they always post when the servers are going down and stay pretty damn true to their timing...

One thing to definitely point out is that the game mechanics have been altered quite frequently throughout the updates to DDO, so it really has become a different and better game than it riginally was, and a good amount of fun content (as long as you actually get into the stories instead of ignore them).

And as far as plots and such go, there is actually quite a bit of lore and story to DDO, they don't force it down your throat though, which makes it rather easy to gloss over while looking for loot, but it exists in abundance if you actually take the time to look.

As an aside, it seems fair to mention that unless those who constantly slam the fans of DDO about posting about how the game has gotten better with updates without actually checking really do have t be some of the more ignorant individuals out there. They can only understand what has happened with the game from the posts, which with people misinterpreting just about everything accidentally or on purpose, they really never learn a thing.

I enjoy the game, others hate the game. That's fair. What is not fair is that those that do enjoy the game are apparently supposed to roll over and agree with some one else's opinion... So...why is it that if a DDO fan posts their opinion in general they get slammed, but if a DDO hater goes on the DDO boards and slams the game we aren't supposed to react harshly?

You should kinda expect that to happen...

EDIT: I would also like to proclaim my dislike for the Ebberon series that they decided to use for this game, I would have prefered a different world...Hell even the well- explored Frogotten Realms would have been better in my OPINION.
