It has a FFA PVP server, alot of races, loads of classes, pretty big world, and seems to be popular. So the question is what's the downfall to this game? Does this game have a jump button, and are the graphics ok?

Graphics were recently updated so they are fine for second generation.  There is a jump button that actually jumps.  Pvp is best in any fantasy mmorpg at the moment.  Downside is that server populations are continuously dropping, even if only a small amount.  The game is getting quite old and the population shows it in being relatively seclusive.  Grouping, while possible is getting harder every month due to population.  Population is heavy on the veteran side so true DAOC newbs, while treated well, are often outsiders.  Realm vs Realm (pvp) is heavy with veteran players with excellent abilities and equipment making it a little hard on true newbs.  Roleplay is pretty much non-existant.

The game is still quite fun and if you find a decent guild, population becomes a non-issue.

actually Deandor is incorrect. As of late there has been a resurgence and more players are coming to DAOC.

By the way, you wont see many posts at this forum from DAOC players. Why?? Because we are playing DAOC. RVR and the BGs are the best pvp experience youll ever have to date!

Not to convince you not to play the game, but the full PvP server is the lowest populated server in the game.  I have no idea how the action is, but it is a tiny server.

The game's population holds steady until they do something to annoy the players.  The game hasn't been "gaining" the past few months.  After 2 patches of nerfs to Hibs, many of those players have quit and fewer have started playing.

Actually the PvP server mordred has lately  gotten a huge spike in population. A couple of months ago it was only hitting about 300 players primetime, but now its hitting about 700. This makes for plenty of action thats easy to find if you know where to look. Plus it is very easy to level on the server.

If you insist on playing Daoc, then stay away from the European servers. Choose American....Eu is dead.

It's about time DAOC got it's own tombstone. It's had its time, let it go

Um, I am correct.  Population has been pretty steadily dropping.  See here:  daoc.darkzone.net/region/us/

If the POP's got any lower the game would close and that woulnt be a bad thing seeing they have to cluster 4 and 5 servers to make 1300 people so u have some form of rvr.

Only cluster with a decent pop is the Classic server because of no toa item yet with the new x-packs there are toa'ish type drops so if your new to it and never played save your money and find a better game to play

Being a newb your fodder for the "lifers" that play.

Or u just play in thidranki or molvik leat there being a casual player you can compete.

I guess with advice like that being dished out, it's not surprising.  Why not instead suggest people DO go to the European servers to bolster the dropping population and get them back up where they belong?  What happened to loyalty?  I for one don't want to play on an American server.

Nor, referring to another of your posts, do I believe DAoC is all about RvR.  If you don't like the PvE then stay out of it.  There are plenty of RvR only games out there.  It's nice to have something that gives us a bit of everything.  Star Wars Galaxies went from being a multi-faceted rounded game to a totally ruined jedi-orientated rvr type game and promptly lost over half its subs.

Here is my input for the game it is a good game and have always been the reason why the pop is so low is because you can't please everyone some wanted changes and alot didn't so those that didn't left the game hint (TOA).  Also alot left the game cause WOW was release.  So if you don't have anything good to say about the game pls stfu or go play a new game. Because mythic can't give you everything you want only half.
