Most of the ones I know are turned-based RTS style browser- based games. Not sure why you would want a turn based MMO. Any requirements on what you were looking for?
The only turn based MMOs I can think of off the top of my head are Dofus and MythWar, I've played one or two others but the names escape me at the moment. Both are pretty decent games in there own respect, if I think of some others I'll post them for you if someone doesn't beat me to them.

Well I've just been thinking lately about RPGs I love, and the majority of them are turn based. I havent played a MMO turn based style yet, figured I'd enjoy it.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I seem to remember that Rubies of Eventide had some sort of turn based combat. You move around normally but in combat you "warped" into the fight and everything went turn based.
That's cool. Maybe I'll give that game a shot. The more I think about it, I guess the game would have to be executed really well...if it was a matter of PvP, it'd be cool because it would all be timing of spells and items, so skill would play a factor, but if it was just open combat in a zone, it'd be pretty awkward.
I highly recommend Dofus if you are looking for a good 2D turn based MMO. It is a flash based MMO, which is a turn off for a lot of people, but don't let that get to you. They have a very large free zone for you to try out till about level 20 or so, so I highly suggest you give it a chance and decide if you would like to go on and pay the $7 a month from there. They are constantly updating it and actually just released a new patch today that included a new starting zone for players 1-20 that pay the monthly fee. There are 12 classes to choose from, one of them requiring you to subscibe to the game, but to be honest, the class isn't too good .
There is also PvP, dueling, and the such. At first you start off with a neutral alignment and can then later do some quests to increase your faction with either of these two cities and then can then fight the other alignment.
Like I said, just download the game (like 90mb I think) and at least play for a couple of levels, do the tutorial, and just try the game out. I just started a couple weeks ago and am now subscribing to the game, it is a lot of fun.
Well, Runescape has it's kind of turn based combat. No long breaks to choose what attack you want, but rather press a button while your attacking and it will do that attack.
Don't laugh, its one of the best MMOs Ive played, turnbased or otherwise. Good crafting system, tons fo quest. Focus is on raising pets and socializing. The problem is the servers are extremely, and I mean horribly empty leaving it nearly impossible to obtain equipment past Lv30 or so because they can only be crafted/looted. Slow leveling, slow skill progression. Non-retroactive stats make it a little tough. It takes weeks(monthes?) to realize these flaws though. I hope you give it a shot.
Its a turn-based mmo, nation building sim, where one turn lasts 1 real day. Make up your own country, determine policy, trade with others, make war with others, and the best part - its absolutely free. If you do sign on, send a message to Fectakaney, and I'll try and answer any questions, as long as get you into an alliance and help you out financially.

Look up Kingdom Elemental if you want a single player turn-based combat-type of mmorpgs.
