is theres a nickle to be made by lil gold farmers they'll be in AoC a month after the game comes out...but ill be on a pvp server...so if i see some uncommunitive lil pecker acting all bot-ish im gonna cleave his head from his shoulders
One of the simplest ways to stunt money farming in an MMOG is to limit the amount of money that can be traded at one time, and don't allow money to be transfered through an autonimus(sp?) mail service. This is one of the reasons why WoW's economy is so screwed up. You can very quickly and easily mail thousands of gold between characters and accounts, instantly.
City of Heroes is an example of limiting the amount of money being traded at one time. That game has no money farming problem what so ever. Granted money is far less important to the game then WoW.
Simply put, there are ways to limit farming and gold selling/buying. WoW's system is completely open, perfectly easy for farmers to ruin the economy.

theres no "real" way to remove buying/selling gold online..unless the company itself does this...even then peoiple will say "were paying for this game and you want us to pay MORE for gold?" i know it sounds retarded but haters will use that term.
