Any war simulations left(zergs) or is it all l33t special forces crap(8-mans)?

As you can tell, I like disorganized zergs where I dont have to commit time to a guild or use teamspeak and where mob mentality reigns supreme over 8-mans. In the old days ppl b****ed about the former rather than the latter. So in this day and age, do 8 mans dominate(yes, on classic servers) or are there still some healthy wars of attrition between 30-100 players?

    8-mans are gone most of them, mostly PUGs left.

    By the way, best thing about zergs is they minimize the devastating power of a stealther who knows what theyre doing.

    Mids zerg like hell nowadays, albs and hibs don't stand a chance against them. We tried to RvR with a fg (PUG) and got zerged many times by 3-4 fg's running around everywhere

    The last two patches nerfing Hib is the cause of this.  A large portion of the Hib player base is gone.  Many quit, at least a dozen accounts were closed in my guild alone.  In addition to this, many people playing Hib went to other realms, specifically Mid.  So less population Hib, more population Mid, and this makes Hib and Alb in not so good of a position.

    And one of the big problems with clusters returns.  Your favorite hib player not have access to DF or the good bonuses, getting zerged in RvR, other side taking the CK in BG?  Well, thanks to server clusters, you can now just hop over to the enemy's side to play your favorite Mid / Alb character.  And guess what?  It takes you all of 30 seconds, and you only need one account.

    PUGs = Pick-Up-Groups. Opposite of guildgroups. ;)
