Either one you wont be dissapointed with.  I am an AMD fan but have a core 2 duo because it is much faster and I overclocked it from 1.83 to 3 ghz with a stock fan and heat sink combo, and it was sooo easy to do.  My buddy has an X2 4200 and he can overclock to, but i get a better 3d mark score and we just about got the same system.  If you read all the reviews core 2 duos beat out the x2's in almost ever category, but the x2's are a LOT cheaper.

So again its not going to be a big deal either way ya go.  The real issue is make sure you at least have 2 gb's of ram and maybe spring for a 8800 GTS, that think KICKS ass.

    Hope this helps

    Peace

if i were to choose id choose core2duo e6320... its a newer version with 4mb cache and definitely a good overclocker (once you feel like doing it later on when you become tech savvy) or just get an e6420 if you have the money. A good motherboard, a good PSU(NEVER GET CHEAP PSU's) and then the dx10 card (nvdia 8 series are out now)

BUT you can still go the amd path definitely... they are not that good overclockers(which i think wouldnt bother you) anddddddddthe difference with core2duo performance isnt that LARGE in terms of real life situations... core2duos hit enthusiasts hearts only because of its massive overclocking potential and lesser power consumption at these stages.  Ive got an AMD system, bought it when AMD produced the better chips

x96harig, Arawon, And Ikra Thank You For The Summary About This Two Products.

And I have decided To Go Get Intel.

I'Am Really Planning To Buy A MicroSoft™ AlienWare™ DESTOP Computer.

Well, The AMD Thing Will Cost Me $1,999.00 (Dual Core, Multi-Tasking, Dual SLI GPU), While The Intel Thing Will Cost Me $1,600.00 (Dual Core, Sinlge GPU).

Although I Believe There Will Be A Shipment Fee From U.S.A. To Philippines.

Uhm, I Guess This Will Be Too "COSTY".

I Guess I Need To Roam Around Our City or Much Cheaper PC Stores.

    Why?

'Coz My Budget Is $1,000.00 Which Is Equivalent To Php 50,000.00.

And Another Thing, With My Php 50,000.00 ($1,000.00) I Can Buy A PC With A PC-Monitor, UnLike The Other Way Around In Which The Package Only Includes The CPU.
