FF XI in Europe?

in Final Fantasy XI

Hi there,

I'm a great FF Fan and can't wait until it's released in Europe. I really want to play it, no matter if it's at the american page. So, does there exist a way to play it without having a credit card? (Hey, i'm in germany, there are creditcards something unusual we have our bank accounts)

    There is talk about a European release but if you like to play it now it is possible to import it. I did and it worked smooth . The only way to pay is a Visa or Mastercard creditcard. Or if you have a bank card with one on those on that works too. Hope this helps.

    Supposedly it gets released here in the UK in august... It sucks that it takes so long for shit to get here.. people in japan are 2 years ahead of us in the game.. america will be almost a year ahead of us too..

    why should we have to suffer so much on games and movies and stuff?

    Well i hadn't heard of real mmorpg's until my friend saw everquest being played in france the year it came out i think. I watched him play it for a year before getting an account, and p[layed for a firther 2... haven't played another since due to lack of money but i am installing FFXI over the next couple of days (import) and I am alpha testing Freeworld

    As to how poular they are.... My mate and his X girlfriend play SWG, and a mates older bro... I like them, and I know a couple of other people who would play them if they didn't hva ethe annoying monthly fee's. When FFXI is released here i do have about 5 friends who want to play that one... We may not have many mmorpgers, but we do have loads of die hard FF fans.

    There are not many people i meet over here who play too many mmorpg's. I am sure they are popular, i mean they had a full UK server on EQ.. which i didn't play on because i was on Vazalle for at least a year before that came out...

    Weather its the friends I have or the area, I am not sure, but maybe its a technology thing. Alot of people are having trouble moving into the computer era...

    I live in the Netherlands. Some shop in the neighbourhood had imported FFXI, and since I was about to import it anyway, I bought it. Since I'm a minor I had to convinve my dad it was safe to use his creditcard for this... adn he did image. The registration was a bit difficult though, because the forms for the billing info were all made for US only. We managed to get it right though, adn I'm playing for over a few months now.
