Please do not lie about Player populations on the Servers.

I have toons on Starsider, Ahazi, Intrepid, and Kauri.

These sometimes say medium they are dead maybe 100 on line at any given time but ussally less than that.

Went to Bria with a new toon, come on if you call that heavy its a big lie there used to be more people just at the MO on Dant. than that.

This summer will spell the doom for SWG

1. Huxley

2. Tabula Rasa

3. Priates of the Burning Sea

4. Gods & Hero's

5. Then AGE of Conan in November.

These should finally kill SWG to the point of near collapse.

My thoughts deal with them.

I agree people should stop lying about population numbers, and the overall state of the game.. They're just deceiving potential customers by using viral marketing tactics and pure propaganda..

I agree they need to stop boosting numbers, and to think they had a potential gold mine on their hands and destroyed it. I never would have left the game if the NGE wouldn't have come about. Now they have to resort to lieing to their customers!

Yep went back to Starsider the other day, I have not played in awhile.  House is still there, with the funds it has access to it will be there when the game self destructs.

Played for 3 hours and I saw 7 people.  And I did go to a couple of the big cities.

Wonder if they include all station accounts as SWG players, seems to me the only way they can achieve such numbers.

At this point I have to wonder how they are funding the new development they are working on.

Well all those servers you guys listed yes maybe there is a low population.  Bloodfin, however actually does have a good population.  My guild is rockin' I am having fun and I am glad I came back to the game.  With them bringing the BM/BE expertise in Chapter 6 makes me even happier.  The PVP I think is very fun in SWG, I am enjoying it. You guys really need to get over your SWG depression.  Play a game you enjoy right?  Make your own decision I believe don't listen to any bad press and pessimistic trolls and their same old arguments and complaints.  I say if you like Star Wars, then play Star Wars.  Guilds are the main key.  Making new friends and having fun.

When I read the title of this thread, I assumed it was directed at the people who were lying about the game being empty.

No, the game is not empty.  No, the game is not full.  What MOST people have been saying is there is currently an upswing in players going on.  And THAT is the truth.  Is it back to the way it was pre-NGE?  No, it isn't.  But it isn't dead, and the game itself is currently a hell of a lot more fun than it used to be.

"But, but, but the game was SOOO much fun before, they never should have changed it!!"... bullshit.  The game sucked before.  Now, it sucks less.  It's actually borderline fun now.  If it had launched this way, it would have been fantastic by now.  Instead, it launched as a "sandbox" craptastic game with absolutely nothing to do but sit in a cantina and watch wookies shake their asses.  I know a lot of you enjoyed that, but for those of us actually looking for a fun Star Wars GAME, it was severely lacking.

Oh, and I just learned above that I'm entitled to some form of compensation from LucasArts for this post because I'm secretly a paid guerilla marketer.  How do I get my check?

"This summer will spell doom for swg".

You're kidding right?  Will spell doom? Will?

This games middle name is DOOM!  This has already happen and it did a long time ago so the comment of "will spell doom" is extremely late.

    True.............

They changed the servers to read medium and heavy with just a few people playing. Most of us veterans remember the server load being medium when there was tons off people on. Now the population of the entire server is the same number of people who used to be at just one starport and they call it heavy.

This game survives because of the station pass and nothing else. If it had to make it on its own it would cease to exist.

I was reading through some of the old posts of the vets, being one myself, we all seem to remember this, and SoE seems not to, me being my paranoid self has went to the area of mind that suggests possibilities such as :

Maybe we only remember it, because we're the survivors of some sick alien abduction experiment? Or :

Maybe Smedely with his staff tried to use us as a marketing device, to get us to say "the servers are PACKED" but, his ploy backfired O.O

Funny things to think about eh? all of the newbs and devs keep calling us and our memories wrong, and since there is no way to mark what we had before, because they're on changeable servers, and therefore no proof  to our claim, We can only claim ET has met us.

Maybe all of the fraps'd material we have, everything on YouTube, etc. etc. will all vanish one day, ALL OF IT, at the SAME time, poof.

Life is out there among the stars, and the middle man is Smedely

As bad as I want the old game back.....

X-FIRE Reports SWG ranks 8th in total hours played in an MMORPG. WOW being #1 of course. With news like this I don't see the old game coming back...SAD!

All these numbers mean crap...the game still sucks. I would rather play an asian point/click game.  They need to come out with a real Star Wars MMO and not this SOE crap.  Maybe an MMO for the Knights Of The Old Republic or Legacy series far far into the future and get away from this chewbacca, Han Solo, boring timeline when things are all out of whack..

That's the kind of job you need. But instead you were the noob that just asked for credits and no one helped out because you were prolly annoying. Don't give yourself unwanted attention, and youre prolly the type of Star Wars nerd that would play Star Wars Chess on the PlayStation so I not gonna think much about your judgement of games. Pre-CU was a damn friggin good game, no you didnt get instant gratification like you do now but it was exciting to play. On second maybe thats why you didnt have fun cause you really that stupid and sat in a cantina watching wookies dancing through precu.

funny how this is is a forum for current players and ya find a thread full of sad sack vets who cant seem to move on with their lives.

i was a hater too for a bit guys but there comes a time to move on. most of you have passed that point long ago so get over it already. i played pre cu too and it was fun, great, amazing etc. but it was also boring, unbalanced, devoid of content etc. there were also plenty of players already leaving for other things way before the cu. dont try and pretend all was peachy pre cu cuz i know you're lying.

anyway just move along because this forum is not for you or your pathetic attempts to conitually discredit what the game has become. most of us know already and have made peace with that. any problem you might have is your own and you should really just keep it to yourselves because no one "current" really gives a rats ass.

ya know i used to sypmathize and be a part of your movement til i moved on. then i started actually reading what some of you spew and it's quite disturbing on occasion. some of you seem to totally forget it was just a game and still is. all the time you waste hating could be spent on more productive pursuits. work at it.

So what do you do now that is so fun? Run around and shoot eachother (when you can find one another) in a 3rd person view?  Gee, if you needed a game like that I can point you to a bunch of LA games that give you JUST THAT!  Don't see why it was required to turn the only "sandbox" SW game into another battlefront/KOTOR clone   A "sandbox" game that alot of people seemed to find alot to do in besides "sit in a cantina and watch wookies shake their asses"....  Sorry you seemed to hate it so much.

Not so sure any of the games will finally kill SWG even though it is way over do to be put out of its misery. Its the station pass accounts that are keeping swg going.

There is a special person around here who just loves to hype up this game, but its done and isnt worth wasting any time on.  To each their own I guess but the servers are definately empty and unless you want to just ride around looking at things or feel like you own the entire server for yourself your gonna be disappointed.

Out of every 100 men, 10 should not be there,
80 are nothing but targets, 9 are the real fighters.
Ah, but one, ONE of them is a warrior,
and he will bring the others home.
