Question about Beta Characters

Will the characters and names be wiped upon retail release?  Or do the characters roll over into the retail release of the game.  Are Beta character names kept or do they go back into the available pool upon release?

Thanks for the info everyone!  Peace and love to you all

You will be able to keep your open beta (current) characters if you pre-order the game from an authorized retailer. There is a level cap in place limiting characters to level 15.

Now the game (in Europe, i don't know about North America and Oceania) isn't in beta but we have only a ten days early access. After those days, all characters created during early access must be not wiped.

    Repeat: European version (Codemasters).

If you don't pre-order, you get to keep NOTHING. You are deleted and forgotten about.

And although I've pre-ordered and get to keep my characters, I'm starting to think that wiping the server clean at the end of open beta still might have been the better idea.  (basically because they've made significant changes to the economy today, particularly with farming, which was permitting players to accumulate excessive wealth)

Thank you for that great information!  I am considering pre-ordering and just had that question.
