looking for a new mmo

well the title says it really, i know theres millions of threads like this already, and im part of a large amount of retired WoW players, who are waiting for WAR or AoC.

im just looking for another mmo to play for the 6months or w/e until they come out.

ive tried the trial of EQ2 and didnt like it, and even though im enjoying lotro atm i cant see it having any longlasting gameplay and im not going to buy the game. just cant see it really being my cup of tea.

ive got a history playing a lot of online games, not only mmorpgs which include:

SWG , DAoC, GW amongst others but tbh daoc is showing its age now and well... im not going to mention SWG...

just like some friendly input if u guys dont mind :)

edit:- forgot to add, i deeply enjoy both raid content and PvP aswell.

well as i mentioned in the original post i used to play GW a bit but although it has great pvp the PvE in it is extremely lacking imo... and once u reach lvl20 the only thing to do really is pvp... only tried the prophecies campaign but tbh that game isnt really for me. i really enjoyed WoW until i reached endgame and then it became the rep grind, or pvp grind or "names random grind". as i read from another post earlier, i like working an instance to get a nice reward (such as a blue item or epic etc) and enjoy raiding but i absolutely hate the current way endgame WoW is. anyway ill leave the wow bashing there before i go on a rant.

I'm in the same position as the OP having played WoW for 2 years and no longer enjoyed the end game content. I also tried the other games he mentioned.

At the moment, we are in a drought. I'm looking forward to Pirates of the Burning Sea in July and Stargate World in 2008 (Taking a break from fantasy MMOs for a while). You may need to put your MMO life on hold for a couple of months and play other games until WAR or AOC are released as there isn't anything new out there that I feel you will enjoy.

ye im considering going back to war3 for a few months, that game has never let me down really tbh, or i might try BF2142 on my new pc when i get that on friday.... kinda sux though, because the summer is coming up and ill have 3months of doing nothing monday-friday until i go back to uni which would be a great time to start an mmo, shame really :/
