this is a funny thread is there a point to video games i guess it would be to relax or be the best at something. Since we all know its almost impossible in the virtual world and the real world to be the best at something dont get me wrong though im not saying its impossible but yes there is a point to everything.
Wow, i am actually pretty suprised that 15 percent of people actually voted "I Have No Life" I mean, who actually admits that? They have to be pretty seriously weird. Then again, the first step to stopping the problem is to recognize the problem

Actually, they voted "You Have No LIfe." Most of them probably thought it was directed at the original poster.
i will tell you the ultimate point to video games. TO HAVE FUN AND ENJOY IT. thats it nothing more or less. now if you want to go a step further you can compete in tournaments and get money. like guildwars you can get a lot of money if you win the big tournament. now if you really want to get serious into gaming than you can go pro. i highly not recomend this because you honust to God have to play like 14 hours a day and seriously have no life. sounds fun but looking at a screen that long doesnt sound cool to me. if you like that go ahead knock yourself out.
also, the army even uses video games to help train soldiers. schools use video games to help teach math. i dont think the question should be, "are video games a waste of time", as much as, "what video games are a waste of time".

The vote is anonymous, no one is really admitting to anything.
A good response for the poll would be "to escape" if only for a short time - that's why I play video games.
We're all Geniuses. Most of us just don't know it.
