    It can still change maybe those korean developpers will work 24/7 for 6months to get us the game earlier :).

    What Rockjaw ment was if Aion is not out by Dec 18 2007 then please dont get angry with him.  That just means Aion "should" be out before then which leaves every other month in 2007 as possible times for release.  Closed beta will probably begin sometime in Jan or Feb, and then a release sometime around late spring early summer.  Thats just my guess, it could be sooner or later.  I think that after the holiday season, and new years are over information will slowly start to trickle out alittle more.  So before you start to rush to judgement wait for alittle more info, from reading that all I get is that Aion "should" be released before this time next year.

    Whew, the longer these grindfests dont come to the west the better.

    It's better be hated for who you are, than loved for who you aren't.

    for those who don't know, they're trying to Global release, so none of this korea gets it first stuff, and dont post random complaints about a game that you obviously know nothing about kk thnx  ^_^

    Anyhow, what stonies88 has said is pretty darn insightful. I tend to agree.



    Gorukha, please do your homework before you bitch. Aion shouldn't be a grindfest. Sure, it's possible, but I doubt it actually would be a huge grind when it's finally released. The devs have repeated that they want to make the grind less tedious and more fun.



    Give Aion a chance and do your research, or just not come to this little corner of the forums at all! It's that simple, really. Just because you don't like the game doesn't mean you have to be banal and post negative comments about it. Heck, it's not even out yet!

    I can't wait for this game to be released.  Just be paitient as rushing things usually tend to have tons of things wrong with it.  I just hope that this game isn't like Guild Wars and all instances.  I heard that the longer you stay in a zone, harder mobs get.  Does that mean you need to run back to town or go to a new area?

    I don't know where you read that, but it sounds logical for the mobs to become more aggressive  the longer you stay in one area.



    We don't know much about mob behavior yet, except that mobs in Aion are more intelligent than most MMO players are used to. We've been promised mobs that set up ambushes and so on. Sorry that I can't give you a yes/no answer, but details on Aion are extremely limited at this time.

    Mobs with AI, that sounds lovely!  the rinse, wash, and repeat gets old on those normal "aggro" or "non-aggro" mobs. Would be nice if they used tactics with those ambushes.

    Tried: Vanguard, UO, Rappelz, Archlord, RF Online, SWG, WAR, Ryzom, Anarchy Online, AC, APB, STO, Perfect World, Black Prophecy...

    Played: EQ,EQII, Lineage, Lineage 2, GW, EVE Online, AoC, DoAC, iRO, AC2, WoW, SWTOR, Runes of Magic, Allods, Rift..

    No Gameloading he's right, we should all look into this months great western wonder Vanguard! Now there is inovation and quality gaming. I tell you in the past 2 years I am just so impressed with western game design I can cry.....(tears of the clown lol)

    Now you can grind even LONGER then Lineage 2 and not worry about a pesky points like sieges, politics, rivals, economic control of a region or anything dynamic like that, you can just get straight to the business of LOOT RAIDS!!!!! Yeah, us westerners are suckers for a shiney object in a 4-6 hours instanced raid area we can repeat over and over at our lesure. Yup no grind in our games....

    Hey remember that email we exchanged last summer on the subject of Vanguard when I got in beta? Was I right or was I right????  Damn I'm good (/slaps knee) That piece of sh*t game RFO has more of a fricking point to it then Vanguard.

    Well, it's still possible.  They're aiming for Korean beta starting this summer.  I wouldn't count on it releasing this year though.

    After reading about the loss of the source code in Lineage 3 i followed the news thread and it was stated that 90 people in the development side of NC Soft have left the company. I do hope that doesnt delay Aion comming out.

    Awesome news!  Do you have the link to where they said that?

    This is one game I am keeping an eye on, the last few of the new generation MMORPGs have been disappointing but it sounds like LotRO has been a brighter spot.  

    I want to see if Aion will push the genre forward .

    why do you say it wont be out in 2007 dont be so negetive lol lets just hope and pray that its out by l8 november early december im realy looking forward to it and i cant wait we can ponly pray that as we speak there finishing up on development

    Ah, orezmax, your poll should have included a "Q2 2008 or later" option! That's what I would guess.

    If I'm wrong - then it will be a pleasant surprise. I hope I am wrong. But I'd rather not get my hopes up only to be dashed time and time again as they postpone release (has happened too many times with other MMOs.)

    Technically "any time after november" includes Q2 08 even if it is vague.

    Meh, i predicting it will come out arround that region of time my guesses are december, my birthhday is in november so obviously im hoping for that month :P but im trying to be realistic, but are we talking bout official release her or just the BETA release?
