Can't imagine anyone feels taking, i salut a message like that "Great 29,95" the cheaper the better  would now become less a risk to try the game, but then again some people always see  the negative in everything...really everything

A lot and I mean a LOT of MMOs go down in price a couple months after release. I might even pick it up to try for that price.

Ha!  So what's the positive in spending $50 bucks for the game a couple of months ago?  Oh yeah, for the extra $20 bucks, we got to help them iron the bugs out of their game.  Lucky us....

Negative? You're so right.  I played this game to about level 15 - 20 when it first came out and I can't say there was much positive about it.

I was at my local Best Buy yesterday with my sister and saw about a dozen Vanguard boxes in the 19.99 bin.
Probably because they over ordered but I've never seen that happen to a game before quite that fast.

I've played enough of these things to know that if the price is getting this low this fast and you start finding it in the bargain bin, then it's not a good sign.

The only other MMO that I have seen drop twenty bucks in price after three months is Auto Assault.  Ten bucks is common place. Twenty isn't; not this fast in the game.

VG was doomed to failure when SOE touched it :)

I saw Vanguard and Eq2 for 20$ buy one get the other free. The store even had a few copies of the CE Vanguard.

I wonder if I could make money reselling theose Collectors Editions on Ebay..Nay probably not. :)

Just think we got to pay them that extra $20 for the honor of playing their beta for them

So where can we all start lining up for our refunds? lol I know ya right like that would ever happen

I am very grateful I did not buy the collector's edition!!

I actually tried to buy it at Best Buy but they mentioned to me that they cannot sell the game until past noon or something.

I have not, nor will I ever, shop at Best Buy again (for many and varied reasons).  I even spend more money at a competitor if I have.  Yet I digress here. LOL.

You do realise that prices get lower after the first few weeks with....anything? I mean cars, consoles, games, board-games even.

Yes. It is known as price skimming.

Please look it up.  It is good to know.

However, demand is obviously so low for Vanguard they were compelled to reduce the price.  Many of us rightfully feel ... ripped-off for buying it at 50.00.  I really feel sorry for those that bought the CE. LOL.

Where did you see buy a copy of Vanguard and get EQ2 free (or vice versa)??

The reason why I say this is because it isn't logitically possible.  EQ2 is owned by SOE and Vanguard is owned by Sigil.  That would not make any sense on a company point of view.

not by 20 bucks it doesn't and certainly not with a video game.

Prices may drop to a point in the following weeks of release, but your not seeing WOW BC in the discount bin or darn near close to it yet, the only time you see prices drop fast is when a product is poor.

Go check out amazon and you can now get the collector's edition for around $45 lol

That actualy both part of SOE all access pass. So it does make sence in that way. However I do agree that the drop is huge and yes clearly there is not denial that companies still having this game in there stores want to get rid of it as soon as posible, so I do expect it to drop in price even faster soon.

This game will most likely see an early ending. Not entirly sure on the current subscribers though. If that have enough to turn even and improve the game. It might actualy have an change to survive for an while.

The Burning Crusade was available for £12 ($24) 2 months after release, here in the UK. I cant speak for for the rest of the world, but here video games fall in price very quickly after release.

A dear friend and I played until recently and just quit because we just could no longer take the issues. Too many times his character fell through the world and then died then lost xp which he could not get back. At one time became corrupt (in limbo) crossing a chunk and was told he might not be able to get it back and this character was level 25, but they (GM) hoped with the next server restart he might get it back. Well the restart didn't get it back, so another day lost, in fact he didn't get it back until the next patch.

Not to mention the various bugs we ran into on a daily basis and lack of people to group with well why bother anymore it was becoming more of a headache and the want to login anymore just wasn't there. When we first started on this server there were a lot of people and as time went we seen fewer and fewer people so thats telling me the number of people playing have dropped greatly from release, atleast on that server.

Players having issues like these is maybe why people are leaving or not joining vanguard. I'm not sure of the whys or why nots, I only know what we experienced and why we chose to leave. Maybe experiences like these can explain the extreme drops in prices of VG in only the few months its been out.

Ya, I was at gamestop the other day and VanguardSOH was at $19.95, while the collector's edition was $29.95.    The guy helping me said the copies are not moving and he had too many people not show up to pick up pre-orders.   I almost thought about buying a copy of each to try and sell on ebay but if they can't sell at the store I probably don't stand a chance on ebay.

Fear not fanbois, we are not trolls, let's take off your tin foil hat and learn what VAPORWARE is:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vaporware

"Vaporware is a term used to describe a software or hardware product that is announced by a developer well in advance of release, but which then fails to emerge after having well exceeded the period of development time that was initially claimed or would normally be expected for the development cycle of a similar product."

Comparing the price drop of an expansion pack which sold millions since it's release, to a full game which couldn't even hit 300k since it's release, really doesn't make sense.
