Ive unfortunately boughten into the hype :(

in Darkfall
So after watching the "Darkfall is Freedom" video..... i got addicted to the hype. This game seems like it will be awsome. The best game for the 21st century. But.. even though i think it could be great.... it still isn't released yet and a beta hasn't even been announced.



So yeah, i've boughten into the hype... and my soul is now forfeit gg.

    HAHA! welcome to the crowd! You are now forever under the curse of DF Promise, it will never leave you and will for rest of your miserable life kill any fun you might otherwise get from other, lesser MMORPGs.

    This game certainly looks very promising and I'm intrigued, though I have to say I think that calling this Vaporware is a longshot at least, there are still posts on the forums (from what i've looked at) and they've released a video with actual game footage, that shows the game client does exist, so it can't be Vaporware unless it's officially announced by the devs, enough said. I am looking forward to seeing this game in action, probably will get into the beta if they release one, but they seem to be being very protective of it.

    Quoting people doesn't make you clever, in fact, it makes you all the more stupid for not bothering to read the quotes you post in the first place.

    Darkfall is the cure to MMO blues. I've been waiting on it for 2 years. I know most people have been waiting longer.

    If only it isn't vaporware, we all will be happy.

    For some reason, the first thing I ever heard about Darkfall was a couple of days ago in response to an Ultima Online thread made in the Pub forum here at MMORPG.com. Since the downfall of UO I've been searching for an adequate replacement, with no luck. From all I've read about Darkfall, I must say it's offering just about everything I'm looking for... Finally, a truly hardcore MMO for true MMO fans. I'm really, really looking forward to this.

    I heard about darkfall annouced back in 2001, I believe i read it in the computer gamming world magazine at that time. Then after that no news.... what year is this now? 2007. Its vaporware.

    Peter Jackson begun to create his Weta Workshop when he did the movie "Heavenly Creatures". Just to test the computer animations.

     

    And since DF is alot more complex the any other MMO in development...it will take longer. There is a reason why we dont see any MMO with 1000 skills... mounted combat....and full naval combat.

    Maybe no company never ever will do it, because the fans cant wait for it

    I don't believe that Darkfall is vaporware, but it sure is taking a long time to be released. I have been following the game for about a year now and not much in the way of new info is being released. I will look to the game more when a beta is announced, but until then, I will be following other upcoming MMOs that have betas/release dates, such as PotBS and AoC.

    And besides, how could a guy steal vaporware? Link

    Keep in mind the size of the game. For the ammount of features DF is planning to put in, I'm not suprised it has taken this long, just I would like to see it come out sooner then later because I don't really want to be playing MMO's after i graduate

    I was wondering if i should make a new thread on the public forum o increase darkfalls fanbase..... and possibly set the DF curse on them too  I might not cause im afraid of getting flamed by the Dark fall vaporware club, can someone else do it please?

    I put one in the developers corner and there is another one in the general called FREEDOM!!! or something. And the last one got really good feedback

    Not bad for all new fans.

    If this game delivers, it will own my soul. I've only waited for it for 2 years too, I think they made a mistake of starting to build a community VERY early in development.

    I have faith in that it will be released, but I do think it will be graphically outdated when it does. In the end, that's probably a good thing since that means the people that play it are interested in its unique mechanics rather than flashy graphics. It is the spiritual successor to Ultima Online, which is to date the only mmo that I felt was really worth my time (that being said, I wasted a lot of my time with other mmos).

    Hope to see you in DFO this side of 2010.

    Ive jumped on the hype bandwagon. That video was quite convincing.
