Are LotRO fanboys the most rabbid?

There are many posts that offer criticism to LotRO. Sure, I agree no game is perfect. But, the fact is that the fanboys cannot accept a mature discussion of a games shortcomings. People keep saying that the community of LotRO is part of the attraction, but I am finding it the opposite.
That is what is scary about games these days. The players are less concerned with facts, problems, bugs, or issues. They are more concerned with playing the "trendy" or "cool game".
LotRO does some things well. LotRO has a well scripted quest system that can keep anyone pacified for a few months. LotRO also has a beautiful game world.
But, when anyone mentions something that LotRO does poorly they are crucified by the fanboys.
I am just curious what makes LotRO fanboys so rabid?

And just because someone disagrees with your opinion that LOTRO has done something poorly, they are fanboys?
Fact is there are also a LOT of people that find the game quite fun, polished, and the best thing to come out in a long time. All of those people are certainly going to react to short-sighted or downright misleading information. And because there are a LOT of these people, it may seem like the very small number of naysayers are being overwhelmed with fanaticism.

Does no one remember the fact that we just had this discussion about Vanguard a month ago? Every game has its fanboys, and they will die struggling and screaming before they admit that there's anything wrong with their game. Vanguard, WoW, LOTRO, Everquest (yes, there still are a few). Don't forgot the fanboys for the games that aren't even in public testing yet, like WAR and Age of Conan. They all have their die-before-I-admit-something's-wrong fanboys.
I think we see a higher population of the rabid - on both sides - here at MMORPG.com. I'm really not sure why, but honestly -- and I mean no disrespect to anyone -- the most rabid fanboys I've seen anywhere are the Free-For-All PVP fanboys... and, for some reason, this seems to be their watering hole.

WOW (of course), Vanguard, LotRO of course all have their fans and they will all jump to their games defense. Even older titles like SWG, DAOC and UO are not exception, and just try and say that Darkfall, Granado Espada, STO or any other new game is defective for some reason (heck, they're not even released yet) and you'll get flamed.
People like to argue and debate, its why most of them post on these forums. (and not to share information about titles or gameplay)
LotRO fanbois are not much different than any other game, there just might be a few more of them.

I myself gladly bash anyone who is trying to kick a polished, state-of-the-art, fun game in the face... just because it is. Sure LotRO is not everybodie's darling, its animations are weird, there is no content for craft/PvP/sandbox fanatics n stuff. Sure, but that was never promised. And that makes arguments like "dude LotRO sucks so much, I can't even make a crafter from the start, can't even choose the baddies, can't even have super specialised class 32" totally pointless and random hatepost-rant.
The important, the essential fact with this game is -> They delivered what was announced, perfectly, this game is about 95% of what I pictured it to be out of beta videos, reports and dev-feature-listings. And THIS is an achievement I NEVER experienced in all my MMO days, and I've anticipated a darn lot of games over the years...
So the basic problem is: guys that bash LotRO for not being something it was never intended to be. And I gladly start a fight with those people anytime ^^ Because they're not critizising, they are just not able to handle their own disappointment and frustration. If you want exampled, go the SWG veteran refuge

EDIT: oh and the reason I have a low opinion on Vanguard is not because its a unfinished, group, grind-centric game for hardcore players. I bash it - occasionally - because it was hyped with being "THE MMO REVOLUTION!!!!1111" and turned out to be a niche game for landscape, pvp n hardcore-grind-fanatics. So this one is worth bashing all the time, just for the sake of kicking liars in the face ^^
If this post makes the vanboys feel righteous , then let them have their day, cause they certainly aren't getting it out of Vanguard .

It's so simple. Fanboys are people with lacking insight, it's so easy ^^... The most objective guys I've met were mostly players with a long and numerous title-history...

I've noticed rabid fans from other games coming here and saying things that either aren't true or open for rebutal, espescially the game that starts with a "V".
This is by far the most solid MMORPG released since WoW. The game won't be for everyone, but as a very jaded MMO fan who has played or tested most of the major titles over the past 5+ years I'm very impressed. I've also had no problem defending the game when it has warranted, but I also respect people's subjective opinions.

Wow.....not WoW, but, wow. After looking through your post history I'm quite curious as to what MMO you currently enjoy. You seem to bash the bulk of them with the exception of EVE ONLINE and Pre CU SWG.

does the disease control know about this rabbies epidemic? it is on the rise for all gamers and they seem to catch rabbies when they find a game they like. Sighns of rabbies is irrational behavior, incoherrent babbling, and foaming around the mouth.
i do think the op has a bad and fatal case of trollism, symptoms include bitting at others and irrational babbling and uncontrollable testicular itching.

edit: and about that game starting by letter V i think i know the name and i am not scared to tell it clearly and loudly, Voyage century online, there is some crazy funs who are screaming how fantastic game is it, but fact is hidden just in forum where you can find, how dissapointed ppl are playing there, cuz noone knows what is the future of that game since final version was made only by renaming beta to final...
The game has been in open beta for weeks. You could have been playing for 2-3 weeks...
And guess what? The majority of people who have actually tried it, love it. The server populations have gone down very little since the start of Open Beta. I do expect a slight drop at retail but not much. There's a reason this game is looking so promising. It's because they delivered what they said they would with stable servers, good class balance and a stable client at launch. Which never happens in MMOs anymore.
Every game now will be labeled a WoW clone, even if it has 1 thing in common with WoW.
i get sick of the WoW clone talk, and I'll post responses. I think that LOTRO fanbois want people to judge the game
on it's own merits. Most critics don't give it a chance. They will play one race or one class for a few levels and write it off.
You can't judge the game on 1-15, IMO.
I admit I am an ex-LOTRO fanboi, but that was back in beta 1.
I have preordered and will buy it, as well as play it until something better comes along. (AOC, WAR, etc).
LOTRO has it's faults, and can be boring. I think crafting is too basic. It is still early, and I am sure that Turbine will
continue to add features that will make the game better.
