Just in case you can't make it to Best Buy or the UPS truck blows it's engine on the way out of the truck terminal Tuesday Turbine is giving all pre orders a 5 day grace period to get a hold of the retail box. Just got to love this company.
forums.lotro.com/showthread.phpHello everyone,
As we near the end of Open Beta, we wanted to take a moment to provide the latest information on the transition of Pre-order customers’ subscriptions from Open Beta to Live. Access to the Open Beta will end in the early hours of the 24th (Eastern Time). Open Beta players who have not Pre-ordered by April 24th will be able to play only after purchasing a retail edition of the game.
Pre-order customers who apply their key prior to the 24th will automatically be extended through April 29th. This grace period is designed to help Pre-order customers in the event of unexpected delays in their getting the retail edition of the game. Most Pre-order customers shouldn't have any problems getting the game on the 24th, but the grace period will help those customers who may have opted for surface mail delivery.
After April 29th, all Pre-order customers will be required to have retail product keys applied to their accounts in order to continue playing.
We hope this policy will help ease the transition from beta to live for as many players as possible!
Thanks for playing!

Hey that's nice of em,
Glad to know that I won't be left drooling and shivering in the corner; my pale ashen skin beading with sweat, as though I've just been struck down with a Morgul blade, but in fact within the vice-like grip of cold turkey.
You know... I just might be hooked.
It seems like this company actually appreciates its own customers.
If you plan on buying but haven't pre-ordered yet, there is still time. Eliminate the hassle of needing to get the game in your hands on the 24th, no need for 1 day shipping. Plus you can still lock in the founders rewards, the two in game items (which usually last me at least until level 15, or close to it) and the cheaper $9.99 monthly subscription fee (or the $199 lifetime fee).

On another note, I bought the last 2 pre-order cd packs at EBgames in my city today
That IS mighty cool of them! Turbine is really taking care of business for us folks I swear, when I played DDO I was like 'meh' but now, it's like this company made a pact witht he devil to ROCK or something. Hat's off to Turbine and Codemasters on all their hard work from me, AND their general great sense.
$0E ain't got S*iET on Turbine
BOYCOTTING EA / ORIGIN going forward.
I expect some folks having antsy feet as well about pre order. If they have a chance to see what the game runs like with out de bug mode going on in background , see what live looks like then decide to purchase. All in all a win for Turbine
This made me happy, as my local EB had no plans to be open mid-nite the 24th like some other cities will be doing. Since I work it isn't like I was planning on staying up all night playing (though I do think I feel a sick day coming on Tuesday)
I originally wasn't going to buy the lifetime sub as games don't usually hold my interest that long. But moves like this along with the free upgrade announcement have changed my mind.
Good customer service from an MMO ..... go figure....
