Rest State...

This currently the most heated debate on the WoW forums and is still under constant scruteny and praise. I was wondering what people outside of the game think of the idea and its implimentation into the game? Let me know your full thoughts, but please dont comment on other peoples opinions. Try to keep to the topic.

For those who don't know what the rest state is in Wow. It is as follows; Upon logging in(after you have been logged for at least 8 hrs) you are set to a well rested state and recieve 200% exp per kill. After gaining a set # of exp per lvl or lvl sets you go down in rest states, a la Rested:150% exp per kill then Normal:100% exp per kill then Fatigued:50% exp per kill Then Exahusted:25% exp per kill. The only way to get back to the well rested state is to log off(to "Rest your character") for 8 hrs consecutively. originally you would have to log off at an Inn, but that is being changed, but the time is pretty much set. Well, Opinions please. and introspective ideas upon improvement or upheavel would be appreciated.

Also, exp earned from quests is not affected by the rest state. All exp you recieve from the quest giver is always at 100% for every quest.

    Stop posting on this topic. Pleeeeease. There was already a thread that lasted over a week and the end result was flaming, childish name calling and bickering about everything EXCEPT the rest state.

     

    Now you've done and done it, you've kicked the sleeping jack ass.

    Resting is great. Makes me want to play the game even more. I like that I can get more skill points without leveling as faster. I like that. GO REST!!!!!!!!!!!!

    To me the rest state is gay beacuse some times i stay on my computer longer then eight hours and i would like to play WOW. Also it is good because it can stop people from boting.image

    I really have mixed feelings on this issue. I can see both upsides and downsides. I know everyone has to sleep sometime so unless your using a 3rd party program i dont see where you would have a problem getting your down time.
