Any idea on what group size will be?

Some of the classes im looking at might be on the fringe if grp size is small.Im mainly refering to classes like the templar and ranger.since theres such a smell of shadowbane in AoC I suppose 10 would be a good guess for grp size.

Hehe, I could say read the FAQ to just about everyone, lol, but I wont.

Group size is 6, however you get ONE extra person per group, based on how many commanders you have in group, up to 4. That would mean with 4 commanders (which is a choice of prestige class), you could have a 10 person group.

The next question is Prestige Class, and that's what you'll choose at level 40 which also gives you your crafting class.

You can also link groups together into larger battlefield formations. Depending on just how they do it, you could potentially have hundreds of players moving in unison.

No man is an island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main. any man's death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind, and therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee.

Okay,I feel dumb.I actually did read the part on the official site that said six,+1 per commander, max +4.but i forgot. Thanks for not doing a read the faqs flame on me,most other game forums would have.Guess+1 point to conan player base.Although I'm A history buff and would prefere the true historical Templar, whats the going opinions on this hybrid.the other class im wondering is ranger,do you think they will be viable mixed into a group.Or are they destined to be hotboxed, keep defenders?

Lore and history aside, The Dark templar class is an interesting one. I feel that it is on the whole an excellent idea. Now, if only they'd get the hint and quell 90% of the objections by changing the name.

With mages being primarily relegated to close range magic, I think Rangers are going to quickly become one of the most demanded units on the battlefield. I for one would like to test and see how effective a few mobile turtle formations with rangers protected inside are.

Yea with formations, etc. Massive armies, cavalry, pikeman, mage groups, infantry groups, here and there someone carrying your guilds battle standard. A group up the rear on Mammoths pulling some balistas, a siege engine and battering ram. Approaching an enemy held keep with archers on the battlements flinging vollysof arrows and launching explosive munitions from half a dozen Trebuchets while the healers bring down storms of thunder and lighting, and the mages summon an army of the undead and demonic hordes to protect the gate.

Ah it's gonna be fun as hell. :D

About Templar's from all I have reaserched about them they are by nature a dark, secretive, self serving society of elitist of thier period.I cant understand why they need to call them dark templar.thats like saying cold ice.not sure what english term they use for that.Redundant is all I can think of.

    The posibilities eh?

I cant wait till my guild is part of a siege against an enemy guild. I love L2 sieges but this takes sieges to a whole new lv of strategy and tactics. BY GOD AoC better deliver or a part of me dies. I am hopeful and i am going to be one of those maniacs waiting overnight for its release (already got 2 weeks vacation starting its release muahahahahaha).
