not too impressed

Hi, I was not too impressed the with beta version I have played.  It was actually rather boring.  BUT please try for yourself it is only my opinion.  I have always enjoyed EQ more than any other game but lately have been resigned to play WOW.  I just haven't found a game recently to keep my interest.  Was considering going back to EQ but don't want to be the only one playing.

Sorry to hear you not impressed with the game. The lvl cap of 15 can have something to do with that. You don't even really get out of the low lvl areas until your start the bree quests lines. But then the game isn't for everyone. I hope you find a game that suits your needs. Goodluck.

I wonder how much of a chance you gave this game? Not everyone will like it an no problem if it isn't for you, but I hope you progressed far enough into the game to get a good taste for it.

I thought the intro areas served their purpose well, but the game gets better the deeper you go. (I also found that not all the starting areas were equally good, based on my subjective opinion. Trying various races and classes is also a good idea before writing the game off). :)

Hopefully they merge servers or something to get a larger community base back like in the olden days.

My initial impression was the same.  The graphics were low quality and the game play average.  I did discover my pc was to blame in part.  I have a 2.4g 500mb ATI 9700 128m system.  Second the starting area was snow, rock and ice, not to impressive.  After I left the beginner area things improved, I changed some video settings and started to learn more about the game. I play most settings on low and experience no lag.  If anything its worth the beta, but its not for everyone.  I will probably buy the game before release to ensure I am not in the starting zones on release.

I am beginning to think nothinging will have the feel of my first days in UO when it released.  The constant pking, running for my life, thieves, mining till I cried, watching my friends house getting completely looted (as a ghost of course) and the newness of that first experience.  My first love *sigh*.  After years of mmorpg, some very good (WOW) and some very disappointing (SWG) I am just looking for a solid game that can offer 2-3 years of enjoyment.

Please, no end game grind for fashion.

    Peace
