Yes, the same price as WoW and every other Pay 2 play out. 14 or 15 bucks.

I'm hoping they charge $30-45 a month. Would go a long way to keeping the ratio of mouthbreathers low

$15 unless aoc rele3ase before hand at a higher rate... then it will follow suit.

No one's getting more than 15.00 per month until WOW does it first...then the rest will follow suit....(or they try to hide it like Sigil did in VG with the bonus extras you could buy)

You guys should be carefull with topics like these.

People involved in these games read these topics too....

I'm picturing some guy from marketing reading this topic saying, "So the majority of them is expecting $15....hmmm....we could probably get away with $15.95."

I mean, back when i firs started playing MMO's, $9.95 was the average monthly fee and $10.95 was what they talked about for "new games". Considering its only a few years later and we're already talking like $15 is a Fair(good) subcription fee should say alot. When you consider the volume of "consumers" who will be playing, $1 more or less is a hell of a lot of money.

Hopefully they will follow Turbine's example with LoTRO and offer a cheaper per month fee if you pre-order. Otherwise I expect the $14.99 since I can see people not willing to dish out the extra dollar or two since many are barely willing to spend the 15 now. Also 15 works well for the whole 30 bucks for 2 months deal with game cards.

Fun Factor is what makes or breaks a game, if its not fun just play something else.

Fifteen a month minimum.  We will likely see an increase with this generation of MMOs or the next as that has been the trend so far.  You could point to LOTRO's price policy as an example defying this, but quite frankly I think they had to offer some sort of gimmick in order to grab attention and subscribers, particularly after the abysmal showing of DDO.

$15 is somewhat excessive in my opinion. MMO's should total no more then $9.99

Hey could it possibly be that they will decide to make B2P then F2P? Lets say like 89$ and then F2P?

Ah i wish that  was so..Then i could buy that and play at ease.. 15$/month is too much for me ^^

I think we will be looking at around $19.00 a month.

We have EA involved here and they need to make some more money back for aquiring Bioware.

    Be prepared...

I am going to say $15 dollars, thats the general price for big budget Western MMO's, I think the only 'big' MMO below that is Eve online, I think that one is $10 a month but I could be mistaken.

You are...EVE is 14.99 US.  Many LotRO founding members are paying 9.99 however..... and I think HG:L has a reduced rate as well.

*in best Scooby Doo voice* "Hurh?"

Almost every major MMO is $ 15dollars a month: EVE, WoW, EQ1, EQ2, Vanguard, SWG, CoH/CoV,...

    FF11 is 13 dollars .

LoTRO is one of the few 'major' western MMO's thats only 10 dolloars... and I might be wrong, it could have gone back up to 15....

So what MAJOR MMO's are you playing that are under $15 dollars? Because i would love to know, would probably give it a try...

(And I'm talking in general about Western MMO's with large budgets, not Eastern/Korean MMO's )

      Edit:
I forgot I posted pretty much this same post a few minutes ago... sigh...  dementia seems to be setting in early...

Standard ~$15/month and down to $13/month if you buy 6 month online.

Honestly, My tactic is that I wait out my first free month, if WAr is going to be my game, Im buying the 6 month package. I played my main  MMORPGs (DAOC, WoW, EQ) for years at a time. Just makes sense for my playstyle

If these games start costing 30 bucks a month then forget it. Hell 15 is almost too much. Yes I am cheap.

I believe the $9.99 price is only for founders... for everyone else it is indeed $14.99.

If $15 (about£7.50) seems too much then don't play. Compared to buying a new game once a month that might cost you $40-50 and only last on average 15 hours - if even that - $15 dollars a month for a game that unless you're a sadistic power leveller lasts for a long time. It's a simple choice, MMOs have nearly always cost this. Companies have obviously worked this out as a good rate to charge in order to be able to afford the various expenses associated with keeping a game running.

And don't even start with the old "Oh but you have to pay $X for the box." The companies need to charge for that to recoup the costs of the development cycle which for MMOs is exceptionally long and brings in little profit on it's own and has to be backed up by releasing single player games or getting someone else to help fund devlopment costs.
