Best PvP class.

in City of Villains
Hi i just joined this game yesterday and made a ninja stalker. I was wondering when can i start pvping? and which is the best class for pvp. also how excatly does pvp work in city of villains? Do we have to go into arenas like guild wars? or can we walk up to a hero in the street and start killing him?

    This game was not really balanced for pvp like Guild Wars. That being said it can still be fun. You can start around Bloody Bay that might be Level 15 or something. I usually dont bother pvping until I get some SO enhancements which is around level 24 which is when you can enter siren's call. This game pvp happens in Arena and PvP Zones it does not have open pvp. Arena matches usually happen on Test Server on Arena nights (see PvP questions, build forum on official site). give it a try good luck

     

    FYI, Freedom has most active pvp. Liberty has decent pvp in siren's and a few SGs. But freedom has bigger pop followed by virtue. hf

    Ok thanks for the info, but you forgot to answer my main question. What is the best PvP class in city of villains?

    The best classes overall are on the hero side. Ice/Energy Melee Blaster + Empath Defender is an incredible duo. Heroes bring unresistable damage to PvP which is just a bit much

    Stalkers are best for ganking in Siren's Call. Can still do well in RV but they not immortal gods there. But in siren'call stalkers run the place as long as no Empaths enter the zone and start handing out Clear Mind

    There is really no best pvp class this is not the game for that. ITs about teamwork. There is always a "hole" in your arsenal that you will need a fellow player to seal.

    For villains i'd recommend corrupter. Best all around AT in both PvE/PvP bar none versus stalker which is one trick pony (Hide->Assassin Strike). Go /thermal or /kin. For solo pvp, Ice/Cold is storng in warburg+ and okay in Sirens. Ice/Rad or fire/rad is good in Sirens+. just keep reading the forms. the most powerful villain/hero is the one that knows to bring friends since buffs stack so well in this game. Noobs usually die solo, teams win

    On hero side the good combos are */Rad Controllers (usually 1v1 gods in Arena), rad/psi defenders (-40% unresistable dmg bonus for whole team and excellent 1v1 and pretty easy to play), ice/em blaster, kin/* defender for the buffs, empath defender for buffs and heals, storm defender cant be hit cause they floor accuracy. Those are all hero FOTMs

    I think i already mentioned Villain PvP toons- which are mostly just the corrupters. Dominators might be okay on a team if heavily supported by healers however Empaths break their holds with a simple Clear Mind buff. also, keep in mind Empaths reveal stalkers cause Clear Mind grants +perception and they can stack it lol. So yeah jsut one hero AT breaks 2 Villain ATs. this game is heavily FOTM.

    I think its good to play this game tho just to mess around with travel powers in pvp but its for sure not a balanced affair.

    Best PvP are in Sirens call, no Specials an so on, u need to plan ur build quit good.....



    Well thats my oppinion at least..



    Stalkers can be real fun, but watch out for stalker hunters build. brute is also V. fun. try SS/Elec + Aid self.
