This is like my 30 min game of the day before hitting L2 and Gw.
Definetly not that great. To get a 9 you at least AT LEAST need some originality
nope, WoW got 9+ score too...and thats no where near original.
But don't you know WOW started it all so they are original, Then they woke up and realized they had been dreaming about other games as their game. Sorry couldn't resist. Just woke up and haven't gotten the sleep out of my head yet and my sarcasm filter hadn't kicked in yet.
Seriously guys, this game is a blast and it will hit hard... Seeing the release night and getting the feedback from my buddies who just started. The effect is awesome. Plus, this game is starting good but getting better, unlike story-bound WoW or other titles that start good, stay good but don't get any more exciting... Praise the fixed storyarc ^^

Meridion
have plyed a few later instanced bosses with kinship mates and they are pretty stunning on good graphics settings. The main story is great and reveals many things that were hidden from the films and gives a great background story.
1 of my fave instances was Chapter 5 or so i think. Where adamir transforms and theres a bumch of nazgul with them. Very atmospheric! There a blast!
I don't think that's the "official" IGN review since it's nowhere to be found on the IGN homepage. I think it's just a review by someone who works at the LOTRO Vault. Still pretty impressive, but sort of bias if you ask me.

Of course he's going to rate it high.
The first "category" that he rates is the Races. With only 4 races (humans, elves, dwarves, hobbits), he gives it a score of 9. That should sum up just how utterly unrealistic this "review" is. He also gives classes a 9, when there is little to rate beyond mediocrity.
And crafting gets a 9? I guess he doesn't follow the actual game, since crafting was complained about throughout beta as being a huge moneysink or conversely, an exploitable dynamic to make huge sums of money. A 9... Reality is an interesting thing when its made up on the spot.
I literally could not force myself to read through the rest of that drek.
This is just one of many high reviews the game will get much to the dismay of the trolls. Suck it up guys Turbine has just set a new standard for MMORPGs to achieve upon release. Bug ridden craptastic games need not apply anymore.

Yeah, the score is too low for a professional review anyway

Denial makes one look a lot dumber than he/she actually is.

Their headlines to that link is
IGN reviews the Lord of the Rings Online
How can that not be a IGN review if it's posted by some of their own staffmembers?

Equal opportunity troll.
I miss DAoC
Lokto is a well known VNboards staff member. Been around since AC1, so naturally has a Turbine bias.
Great review nonetheless.
But what makes it so great?
That it has no bugs you moron!
Oh ok... *gives the game 9/10*
