Yup. It's kinda sad when this sort of thing, which is easily foreseeable is allowed to happen. 3.5 hours it took me to register the game code. All servers were up and running earlier today in advance of the official launch, but I expect they were mostly empty since punters couldn't register their shiny new game-codes.

    Shame on you again* Codies.

*They messed up D&D Online's first day also.

How in the world is CodeMasters still in business?  Seems like we hear nothing but screwups from them again and again and again...

It's expected with pretty much every game. The EU LOTRO accounts page has been activated (for players to add their authentic game codes) since the afternoon on 23rd April. Things will eventually calm down, but what do you expect when trying to sign up at peak times? :)

To think everything is going to be smooth cruising (especially when it comes to activating accounts) in MMO's is foolish.

It's still very disconcerting when you have a finite time limit to register you founders code. Finally got done by registering first thing in the morning. However had a worrying period when I didn't get the lifetime membership option, and had to cancel my subscription and re-subscribe before it would appear.

Well for one i wouldnt play it, since CodeMasters have touched it , like SOE every game they touch goes to pieces after a while, maybe not in the first couple of months , but the GM team their using, is the same as in RF Online , and they failed badly there , their to power hungry, don't even follow their own rules and they had a personal vendetta against some certain clans etc. that they were allways breathing down the neck off.

Can't fully remember what the GM team is named, but its a company that CM hired instead of getting their own GM's.

I read about the problems they had with RF its pretty worrying! I was pretty gutted when i saw codemasters were having anything to do with the EU version.

It does seem that Codemasters isn't really all that capable...must not be many places around that can manage MMO launches or something....
