IGB Ram. Is it enough?

I know it says 1 GB in the recommended stats, but I am experiencing moderate lag at times and upgraded my graphis card to a Radeon 1650 pro to fix it.  I still have some lag and am wondering if my 1 GB of ram may be the problem?  Not sure why it would be if it is okay as far as recommended specs goes.

Do you think adding 1 or 2 GB of ram will help?

Thanks

Describe the 'lag' to us.  Is it just choppy or does it kind of freeze up and read off of the hard drive?

I find having 2 gb of RAM to be very helpful.  On my older XP system 1 gb was sufficient to run with settings on high with intermittent lag.  With 2 gb my lag has cleared up and I have been able adjust certain setting much higher.

On my wife's newer Vista system 2 gb was absolutely required since Vista is a real system hog.

    Hope that helps.

I would recommend 2gig of ram.  I am currently running 1g on a midrange system with a new vid card and I get the choppiness and lag that comes from not enough memory.  Turbine's AC2 engine which is in LoTR is a real beast and loves all the room it can get.

I am not dissing the thing, it just loves to work with as much memory as possible.

I will soon be upgrading my ram and also thinking about getting a Killer NIC card too.

That sounds like my situation.  I have a Dell xps 400 with xp.  It has 1gb ram.  I just installed a radeon 1950 pro graphics card but that didn;t clear up the moments of lag entirely.

I am planning on putting in 2 more GB of ram tonight and see how it runs then.  Hopefuly that will clear it up.
