Eye of the North is going to be GW last expansion then GW2 come after. Sooo.........might as well go with TR.

Forget about all those fantasy games..... enough of them already. Its not like you are going to miss anything if you don't play it, there will be about a dozen clones in no time

All I want is a decent, complex sci-fi flick. Since AO no longer thrills me, like it did for years, I eagerly await Tabula Rasa. I shall play AoC and Tabula Rasa all the way up to the bioware MMO.

Well Tabula Rasa is currently targeted at end of September release - so if the Guild Wars expansion comes out a few months earlier - get that.

Seeing you love GW, i would buy EotN and get TR later when it's released - if you get tired of GW or just want something new.

TR for me definately. I found the GW games a bit annoying, I couldnt explore everywhere i wanted - sometimes i couldnt even take a slight shortcut because some invisible wall was there. Fighting wise i didnt even need to move, i targetted and attacked and the char automaticall ran to the enemy - i didnt need to do a thing. I quite likes the story telling but...it's another damn fantasy mmorpg. I want sci fi, i want to be in a war that's happening right infront of me..I want a change quite simply.

I'll be doing both. I love Guild Wars -- it's the only fantasy game out there that doesn't have the tried and true generic fantasy setting. Pre-Searing Ascalon in Prophecies is the only area that fits that label, and you're out of it soon enough. Asian (Factions) and African (Nightfall) settings? I don't ever recall seeing those before, and I have a blast exploring all the areas and trying to get through all the missions, and even attain a few titles along the way. And I love having a skills-based game for once instead of levels-based and/or gear-based, both of which just mean forced grinding.

They are good - no doubting that, like I say though, i've had enough of fantasy. I played and completed all three GW though - there is a ton of grinding if you want to play on once you hit 20 (If you want to go for FoW armour, find the best Chaos Axe etc.). I found them a bit quick and easy to complete (2 weeks max gameplay), but definately fun while they last. The next chapter does not interest me though, I'm all for Sci Fi for the forseeable future. But - the gamer is always right (after all its personal tastes and our right to change), enjoy them :)

There is no doubt about it I am going for TR. Guild Wars was so boring and draining, I felt like I was playing diablo2 all over again. I also hope this game is aimed at more mature crowd than guild wars/wow. Man I hate to sound like an old fogie with a stogie but damn what happen to games? I need that epic feeling again and I hoping that TR brings that back.

Hell yeah thats what Im talking about! I think this game is definatly directed towards an older and more mature crowd- they did say there will be no crafting of chairs unless they explode on impact or something to that matter. Also the fact there is taverns instead of 'inns' where I hope to see strippers and large busted table waitresses haha. Richard said it was directed towards one crowd of gamers and I think its definatly the older, epic style gaming experience we can fully immerse ourselves in. Personally I know this will be a great game- its pretty much Richards last chance at huge success- its THE project hes been working to complete since what 96'? (project X) I know hes got a ton of thought into it because of that.

TR is not rainbow-bear. It is the hardcore ideals of what our planet, and universe is becoming. A complete warzone. Get your guns ready.

lol - if we had taverns like that the Bane would all be in having drinks and there would be no war.

It hasnt been mentioned that bodily proportions are customizable - so I wouldnt expect any of those sterotyped women in the game that you see in fantasy games.

And in a war for survival - without the women - the war is already lost.

lol I'm fine with the big chested waitresses, just make sure there are some cute guys in g-strings serving drinks to us girls after we put in a long day fighting the Bane.  If garriott is serious about making TR a success he better keep in mind that the other half of humanity also games and needs some perks

    TR FTW!
