I've been on mmorpg.com awhile and if you are hardcore this thread doesn't count for you...but if you are casual then this does.
There is a lot more hardcore mmorpgers on these forums than casual players, just look at the top list for this site. WoW isn't even on the top list, because it isn't hardcore or whatever. Eve Online is a very hardcore game (at least to me it seemed like it) and that was on the top list forever until the devs were found to be cheating. There might be one or two exceptions on the top list, like guild wars is sorta casual...at least before 20, I got bored before I got to the end level so I dunno what that is like.
Casual games don't do as well on mmorpg.com. Just look at the forums, a lot of people flame WoW and the reason I hear the most is because it isn't a hard game to play, which makes it a great game for casual players.
Just letting casuals know:) If you are casual, best to find another forum for advice on a mmorpg to play. If you are hardcore player, well, stick to these forums:)
And yes I know LOTRO is on the very top, but all new mmorpgs are at the top for a few days or a few weeks and then they are voted back down usually.

who me ?
I miss DAoC
I see..... Is there any reward that is exclusively available only to the hardcore players who elect to play the "meat" of the game?
Sorry to the OP for getting off topic...
I think LOTRO has more to offer than most people think. Also the MMORPG.com forums are full of posters that agree and disagree as much as any group of people do. You can't get a consensus on these forums over what color the sky is.
