Tabula Rasa, when it launches, is going to be a unique MMORPG with many diffferent elements and features. Today, two more of the mysterious symbols have been translated.
Er... They want us to Translate an alien language?
To start with we have no idea what conditions these symbols were found in. A ritual chamber, a homestead, a palace, a supermarket? Alittle clue as to their originality helps to narrow down the meaning...
If you go to the site you can see the whole message and set of lots of decoded symbols. There's enough of the message that you don't really need the context although reading the backstory on the website will help. There's a logic to the symbols and the text follows a simple grammar pattern so it's not that tough.
I think that is interesting. Love games that make you think. Played another game that had a ingame language. It is not a required thing to learn but for people who like to get into it, it is fun. There will always be transalations for people that don't want to know.
They've said that in total there are several hundred, and that they may have over a thousand now. You only need a handful for the contest, though. I started paying attention to them due to the contest, but now that I can read them fairly well, I've noticed myself trying to translate the logos in the screencaptures. I think it adds quite a bit to the game and look forward to seeing it in person.
And single player and two player are not the correct translations of those symbols.
The Symbols listed under the Logos Page are not current with the ones that have been distributed within the last few weeks as far as I can tell. You say you've been releasing them to Sites all over the Web, but yet that Page has not changed since I received the Email about the Contest, and I've come across several Websites as well as the BLRP Site that have more Logos listed then the one you've linked. Who's responsible for updating the Features/Logos.html Page? Being that it's a Page from the Official TR Site, shouldn't it be more Current then anywhere else?
I thought they were pretty current - but I will ping the guy with the stuff to make sure. You might also try a control-refresh if you don't have your pages set to reload on each visit.
From the Community News Section on April 16th (Here) reveals "Logos" and "Others" [Possesive], neither are on the Site. From April 19th (Here) reveals "Woman" and "Most/Many" however, "Woman" is not on the Site. From April 24th (Here) reveals "When" and "Right," neither are on the Site. By "the Site" I mean the Features/Logos.html Page, there are a few others but it just seems that everything from this month is being skipped, we have to read the News and visit the Fansite Pages to see the new stuff. Not that doing this isn't a good thing, but it's just not being followed up back on the Logos Page.
Also, from the BLRP Site, their Library isn't current, several Symbols in the Library are still labeled as Unconfirmed when they have been released. Such as "When," "Evil," "Right," amd "A/An/Single," "Above", etc.
I tried the Ctrl + Refresh and nothing changed from what I saw. Only 57 Symbols are listed on the Logos Page, whereas I'm told that more then that number are Known.
I'm quite certain I've seen each of those on the site. Note that they are listed alphabetically, not chronologically, so you shouldn't be just looking at the last page.

Yes, I am aware of the Alphabetical order, but I assure you that at the time of my Post here, they were not listed. I have checked back since and as of Friday afternoon, May 4th, they are on the Site.
this is cool i'm getting into this translation thing. i already got some sentences. i just wish the prize would be better than get my name on an NPC. they should give a top of the like PC with the game installed.

This is easy.... it is a aymbol for 1 player or 2 players.
It seems the markings above the heads are the numbers of lives you have when playing in either mode.
It apears the archaeologists uncovered an acient game or console.
Mystery solved?

left is clearly the symbol for two player mode, right is the symbol for singleplayer.

I'm liking their approach so far in trying to get people interested in the background world of Tabula Rasa.
