It's alright.  Everyone has the right to dislike or like a product.  I personally didn't really think his show was that good.  I stopped listening at EPI 4.  So his show closing down will not affect my enjoyement of VG.

I like the way all you old people that play Vanguard, always make the argument that immature young people are the cause for Vanguard's failure.

Lol you know what I love even more.

    When people say...

'your not skilled enough to play VG'

'is VG too hard for you?'

'go play WoW with all the other kiddies'

    'VG is engaging'

Even my bird laughs when I show him those quotes.

    Currently Playing: Everything but MMORPGs
Cancelled: L2, FFXI, VSoH, LotRO, WAR, WoW
    Looking Forward To: SW:TOR

i'm pretty old, and i can't say that there's anything entertaining and interesting about vg, not to make me stay and play it.

if i wanted crafting to be a job in itself, then i'd actually go to my workshop and build a real chair/table/whatever.  if i'm crafting in a game, it's enough work harvesting the pieces to MAKE the item.  am i missing the potion skill (or a few others that i didn't see), or are these things just available high level or something?

diplomacy is a card game, that you go and collect more cards to play.  at least they didn't have little monsters appear when you play cards, which would then fight each other.  although, that might've made it fun.   but after running back and forth for hours, getting 1 diplo point per mission, it became quite obvious that this wasn't that exciting/challenging/fun and from the tedious leveling, it's just a blatant timesink.  but a not fun one.

ultima online has a very interesting way of travelling quickly.  a huge world where i'm just going back and forth looking at the scenery... sure, i guess that could be life-like and realistic.  so let's make the most boring part of the game - travel - realistic.  does travel really have to be that much of a timesink?  i mean, even below lvl 10, i'm running from one end of the universe to the other (or it feels that way).  i don't have the patience to waste THAT much of my gameplay time on just trotting about looking at daisies.

could we please get correspondent writers and moderators, on the eve forum at mmorpg.com, who are well-versed on eve-online and aren't just passersby pushing buttons? pretty please?

    WTH are you talking about?

I have been following this and other boards for ages, and I have NEVER heard anything like what you say.

Your statement makes no sense to me.

That is kind of sad really. But I can see why.

So many of us had hopes for this game, but there are just too many problems with it and with Sigil.

I'm going to ride this out and stick with Vanguard.

The premise of the game is simply too good for me to move on to anything else.

    He's sorta right though.

If those pre-kunark Vanboys wouldn't have objected to ports and to lower death penalties. If they would have made grouping easier, prevent guilds from overtaking everything, and throw a bone to solo'ers, maybe VG wouldn't be in the sad state it is in now.

W/E though, I think Sigil and the community are to blame for thinking a pre-kunark eq clone would still work when people are just happy with easier travel like in WoW, eq and eq2.

Who the hell has boats and flying mounts in Vanguard anyway, the flying mounts aren't even in and like 1% in Vanguard can afford a boat, w/e.
