Just Found This Amusing

No, this isnt intended to be fodder for the VG trolls, but I'm sure it will be, just hoping that the VG fans, as well as the detractors, find this as amusing as I did.

This is the Link to the VG site used during beta which is now open to anyone, and a link to Brad McQuaid's Profile:

If you scroll down to this question: Number One Request for a Third Gen MMOG:

I absoulutely LOVED his answer.....

"Be successful -- the industry doesn't need anymore $30 million failures."

Love or hate the game, with the feedback that it's received, I just found that comment completely amusing.  His NUMBER ONE request....and however you feel about him, can you imagine how much it must have bothered him to release it in this state, and to take the beating that he has because of it?

Ironic, to say the least. Or, perhaps he had a "vision" of the future.

I wonder how it really feels to be in brad shoes - his game is a total failure, underlining his inabilities at designing a game correctly on a competitive market, lacking foresight on technological evolution, and not able to set deadlines for the development of his game.

yet he acts as it everything wasn't so bad.

    My addiction History:
    >> EQ1 2000-2004 - Shaman/Bard/Wizard/Monk - nolife raid-whore
    >> WoW 2004-2009 + Cataclysm for 2 months - hardcore casual
    >> Current status : done with MMO, too old for that crap.

You must remember that Brad was a marketer first.

In marketing, all negatives are protrayed as positives in preparation for the negative

response from the customer.  So naturally, he spins negatives into positives.

It's just another day's work for Brad.
