Good Indie Massively Multiplayer Games?

SeptopusSeptopus Member Posts: 101
Hey all, I was just reading up on all the articles from this site on the recent indie mmo conference and was wondering if there are any good indie mmos currently out. Any genre (sci-fi, fantasy, etc.) will do, I really just want to check out what the other part of the industry is trying to do and to support it. Thanks for any help.

    Wurm online, completly sandbox game. You can build a city, join a city. Or just build a house in the forest and live as a hermit. And there is also FFA PvP on one of the servers.

    And some other functions (taken from their website)

    * trees and plants grow

    * you can cut down trees

    * and you can plant trees

    * you can terraform by digging and dropping dirt.

    * you can pave roads

    * grass and other types of vegetation compete to be predominant

    * you can dig out caves in the mountains

    * some terrain can be converted to farmland where you grow crops of various kinds

    I think Vendetta Online counts... it's 4 guys running it.

    Although we did not attend the IMGDC we did hit the GDC out in San Fran. We are still in development currently though and not at a release time for Force of Arms. It's good to see people ready and willing to support fresh ideas in the indie teams though. Stop by our site at www.forceofarms.com or click siggy. We are a small team under 30 at this time.
