Remake of Ultima Online? Maybe one day

There are so many  MMORPG's coming out these days.  Some are excellent, some leave a lot to be desired but the vast majority are aimed at level grinding.  This is a perfectly good way of creating an advancement model but it has become somewhat overused.

Looking back to my days when I played a rather obscene amount of Ultima Online has led me to wonder over the years why no one has remade it.

A skill based system where training the skill improves it.  Open ended gameplay where you are not  limited by level to where you can go and who you can kill both in PVE and PVP only hindered.

Creating a game very similar to UO but giving it more of a user friendly direction, including player housing, an Isometric viewpoint, skill based system, skillful pvp(This is an argument alone but the skill in most mmorpgs these days is geared towards what level you are and equipment you have) .  Include to this the mining blah blah etc etc and all the cool crafting systems UO used but completely revamped.

In short revamp everything and redesign the weak parts of the game.  I am aware that UO has upgraded their graphics recently but I am after a new game set in a new world bring back to light all the great parts of one of the greatest games ever made.

There are so many players out there who would love to have seen this and perhaps one day someone might take the risk to do it.
