Okay, just trying to make sure I interpretted this correctly:
You don't want people that hate the game to play it and try to ruin it for every one else.
And you aren't talking about saying you don't like it somewhere else, you just mean in game?
If you do mean you don't want people to say that it sucks here on the forum, then it looks like there is a good argument to make you a hypocrite.
But if I'm right about what you meant, then I agree. It's really annoying when I'm playing a game and some random person is running around saying, "This game sucks, go play WoW." Because 1) he isn't taking his own advice, and 2) the other people playing must like the game well enough if they're still playing; they can go play WoW if they want without being told to.
EDIT: I just realized that it isn't obvious who I'm talking to. The questions are to the OP.

I understand that it is annoying when people bitch about a game just for the sake of it, but most of the people who criticise a game is doing it because genuinely think that the game could have been better and they wants to give their opinion on the matter.
Of course sometimes the discussion get out of hands, but as long people don't insult each other, it is just heated banter no different from the healthy rivalry that you get between 2 football teams fanbase.
Community is one of the key parts on an MMO. I am getting LOTR:O in a few months over the Summer to play and I am really excited and glad to hear how the community is. I don't really get the hostility that MMOs get. It's like if a person doesn't like it they feel it is their need to bash it non-stop every chance they get.
Well, i think title got your attention allright...
I want to say that as for this moment (this might change in future) LOTRO has the best, friendliest, funniest and maturest community
in any MMO up to date (yes in case you wander , it even beats Ryzom).
And i would not even beggin writting about quality of roleplay encountered so far.
So what is the catch ?
Simply many people , especially ones drawn to PVP and powergaming do not like LOTRO at all !
And this created community of people that play only to have fun and socialise. Not people that play to be better than others and prove them selves the better over the other.
So what is my rant ?
Simple as this :
If you dont like LOTRO. Please , please stay away from it !
