Confused: KR - did it come with last publish?

The only thing I noticed while patching up UO was the latest publish 47, to V 6.0.0.0 and you don't have the 3D client (the old one) anymore. So it's only 2D.

And where is the KR thingy? Is it actually "for free"? Haven't seen any ads for a new expansion called KR, but one never knows....

    What happened with the latest publish was that the 3D client was discontinued, some things were changed around in game, and closed beta for the KR client (under NDA) has begun.



    KR is believed to be released on late Spring, Early Summer.

    thanks for the info. i thought KR was finished with beta and it would be on TC. lol.

    Yeah, I was a bit confused about it myself.  Look for a May-June release though.

    so this KR link im downloading that says it has a new 3d engine is not active?

    I clicked a link on the main UO page that said "Experience UO like never before! An all-new graphics engine!"

    so I select the banner, it takes me to the KR homepage with a 15 day free trial, download link to UO gold.

    if this isnt the new graphics engine, I wont consume the 15 day key.  anyone know?  If its not, they really screwed the pooch here.  I can understand being anxious and all.. but offering something like this to have people drawn to it finding the same old graphics engine (who may have never played the game) may just leave an never come back after its actually legit.

    no, it's not the new graphics engine yet. and yes, the info and advertisment is confusing :(
